Warning To All: Don't Place Bottled Faith into Unique Stash Tab!!!

I've just had a look at your tab myself, since it's publically viewable, and some of those items (like Bottled Faith) are showing up as not lit-up. I can click the ones which are lit-up to see a stats pane for those items, but not for the ones that aren't lit.

Yet at the same time, they appear lit-up in your screenshot. You clearly have the item (or have had it at some point) but it's definitely missing from your public stash tab.

This doesn't seem to be a "can I have my items back please" thread, as you already explored that avenue, so it looks like you're trying to warn people not to put expensive items into unique stash-tabs; I can't think of a single reason why you'd do that unless you genuninely think the stash tab is glitched - so I guess people should take this warning seriously until further notice, or at least don't put anything expensive in there in case it gets eaten.

Yep. It is a warning to all. Unique Stash tab is a unique monster that can eat your valuable items.

Here is a video I just captured to show that the item is indeed in my tab but I can't access it.

Apparently the problem has been there for a while but I didn't notice it till today because of Bottled Faith.

EDIT: Tested all the tabs in unique stash tab. Apparently this is only isolated to flasks and has something to do with the filter.

My flasks are becoming inaccessible as I test out the tab.

My Vintak flask is inside the tab but not considered "owned" but I can apply glassblower to it.

My Witchfire was also in there but not considered "owned". So I removed and put it back in and now it became inaccessible too. But it is now considered "owned".

Got a respond from support. They said they don't restore items lost in game.

And that they have forward the issue to people who are working to reduce problems like this in the future.

I don't know if I am able to trust the unique stash tab anymore.

If items can just go missing like that, that is so devastating. Especially for a paid tab.

Yes, GGG has always taken that position as it's the only way out. If we (GGG) have bugs that cause an item to be lost or a flaw that gets your HC exile killed it's "we're ever so sorry... blah, blah, blah... shit bugs are bound to occur in a very complex game". Especially when GGG is on a holy terror to release a new league to keep the racing addicts/junkies fixed on the next race to 100 and get the player totals back up. Quantity of leagues is more important than quality of the/any league. We have bugs, deal with it. I deal with it (the very buggy code and shit league mechanics) by not buying any mtx anymore. But I'm a lone voice (in the minority to be sure) in a sea of racing game junkies (worse than a Who that only Horton can hear) and my yelp is drowned out.

But if I was in the position of GGG it would be impossible to tell a legit "I lost xyx item do to your flawed program" from other bogus ones. Doing a restore for 1 player opens the floodgates to 100s of thousands of restore requests and a nightmare of a problem for any game company.
"You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

Yes I understand the floodgate issue.

But if you have seen the video I posted above, the items are clearly in my inventory but I just can't access them.

I believe I won't be the only person facing this issue and this bug needs to be fixed.

And once it is fixed, I believe the items will be accessible again.
Oh, so your item isn't lost it's just stuck and can't be retrieved. That's a completely different problem (my bad, I didn't watch your vid).

Everything is broken when you stumble on the bugs.

GGG have real problems when it comes to QA and it's possible they didn't stumble upon this. We are seeing a single instance of a player affected by such a bug; it doesn't appear to be affecting a wide range of people so perhaps the bug only triggers in peculiar circumstances GGG didn't account for, and the OP stumbled on that circumstance through bad luck?

But now we know this can occur, it could affect anyone. Nobody with the unique stash tab is officially safe - the tab could start eating items at any time so it's probably a good idea to avoid using the tab until we get an all-clear from GGG.

So if you did pay for the tab, you'll still eventually have a functional tab like you paid for, you'll just need to wait for them to fix it before it's safe to use.
Is there a way to replicate this. I'm not having this issue but you got me all paranoid.

I don't know how this bug was created.

I only remember back then when I put flasks into the tab, some of them will go into it and turned into that inaccessible form.

But I didn't bother about it because I don't need to use those flask.

It only dawned on me that I am now in a shitty state when I place the Bottled Faith into the tab.

Apparently now any flasks I place into it will become inaccessible. They will not show up as owned until I try to place another flask of the same type into the tab. When I do that, all the missing flasks will show up as owned but without a clickable image. Hovering over that lit up box will show the item stats but there is no way I can move it back into my inventory.

I hope support could expedite and fix this quick.

I don't know who will be affected by this bug but basically if an unique item is valuable to you, my advice is don't put it into the tab for the time being.

Yeah that's a gross looking bug. I'm just going to keep all my valuable uniques outside of the tab. Thanks for the heads up and I hope they can get it sorted out for you sooner rather than later.

Yep. Play it safe.

Here is another video to show what I meant in my post earlier:
