Developer Questions and Answers

Dear GGG! Sorry if my english is bad! I translate using google translator. There are very few questions in the EU community (mostly trade and when Chris has a birthday, or about sandwiches) But at the same time in the Ru community there are a number of questions for you! Mostly questions about servers and dubbing! Very much I will forgive viewing ru forum more attentively! Your dear fan!

Do you plan on exposing mod tiers in the stash api?
Are there any plans for adding Path Of Exile to the Nintendo Switch?

Also, i’m sure this is captured by many other questions regarding getting into the gamimg industry, would you be able to add a breif detail to all the teams that make Path of Exile and experience/knowledge needed for each team?

As I am currently doing a university course and it would be great to get an idea what specific areas there are to get into rather than just the umbrella “games development”. As I am not sure if it is similar to website/applications developers where you have front end and back office developers.
Lack of map availability and the need to trade for content is one of the main reasons I quit every league. Why do you feel like it's important to make content a scarce resource, and make trading for that resource to be a frustrating experience by requiring lots of player interaction to do it?
Are league mechanics being worked around in a way that makes them easier to be incorporated into the core game? If so does this hinder your ability to go "overboard" with a mechanic?

I have been playing PoE for a very long time and I am coming back for every new league, but there is something that is bothering me more and more. With every new league the game seems to demand more time if you want to fully engage with the league mechanics. I understand that the achievements, especially when you want 36+, are for the most dedicated of players, but I feel that the "true" endgame of the league is also mostly inaccessible if one doesn't treat PoE as a second job.

For example, I have been playing a lot of Synthesis when it started and the Cortex never spawned for me. I had only a couple of Mastermind fights and cities during Betrayal and Delve. I didn't encounter a single legendary beast during Bestiary. And so on.

Same thing applies to the crafting mechanics of the new leagues. Synthesis and Delve crafting, better treat the game as a trading simulator if you want more than a few attempts during the entire league.

As a result, I always have a burnout after a few weeks of each new league. I struggle to complete the atlas, I hope that I encounter the endgame league mechanics, but ultimately I feel like I am accomplishing nothing and then I quit and wait for the next league.

With all that said, my question: Are there any plans reverse the current trend and experiment with less time and RNG intensive endgame features in upcoming leagues?

what current trend?

achievement list

i'm playing this game for 8 years without breaks, mostly solo or in parties with slower players 10h a week and endgame was always unreachable for me.

shaper kills: 0
uber atziri: 0
mirrors: 0
uber elder: 0
red elder: 3
eternal orbs: 0
shavronne's wrappings: 1
kaom's heart (the nerfed one): 2
guardian kills: ~4
mjölner drops: 0
headhunter drops: 0 (1 chanced)

this game has ever been unrewarding to the core. it's a feature, not a bug or trend

Do you have plans to update the overall UI of the main site?
In particular, the main page has a large empty space to the left of the livestreams section, and the microtransactions section is difficult to search through due to the lack of tags (such as 2H, 1H, Hats, Gloves) and a better interface.

Do you have plans for tab optimization such as improved filtering, proper item searching (e.g. find which tab contains my Kaom's Heart), and smoother tab organization (e.g. stutter while moving a tab with a long name or across tabs with long names). If not in-game, is there a possibility for proper item searching on the website?

Do you ever host office game nights with never-will-be-released content just to mess around?
I suppose an example would be like an office race event with odd mods like Exiles are always unarmed, Exiles have large heads, Exiles suffer from dehydration, and Exiles charm monsters. Although, some of these do seem possible...

Have you ever considered removing Scroll of Wisdom and having items drop identified permanently?

Have any of you backed or contributed (financially or through advising) to other upcoming ARPGs? And how do you all feel about competition regarding ARPGs that could potentially improve on where Path of Exile is lacking?

What are some activities the GGG team participate in that are not directly related to Path of Exile? Do you guys do physical activities like basketball and ultimate freesbee or in-house hackathons for silly projects?

Cheers.

With the upcoming improvements to Melee, will these also extend to melee minions (skeletons, zombies, sentinels, etc)? Melee minions have lots of problems swarming around smaller targets due to limited range, and could use some quality of life improvements in terms of how they interact with mobs!

When will we see a second Claw MTX? There's only one currently available for sale (although there are two daggers which can be used over claws).

Why do you refuse to budge on improving Trade, despite the fact that the Trade Manifesto is entirely based on false assumptions and bad guesses?

I've played dozens of games with AH's and I like POE's unique approach to trade better than any game I've ever played with the exception of Ultima Online (which has player owned NPC's that sell your stuff, but you had to go seek them out in the game world with no global search or API).

Their assumptions are correct, you're just not experienced enough of a gamer to know why, you also don't care about what they care about: you care about your convenience and smooth/fast item acquisition without the messiness of having to deal with another playeer, they care about players not getting geared up too easily and sitting at the AH playing the AH game instead of killing monsters.

I also care about what they care about because I "know my why" when it comes to gaming, which is why I don't ever want an AH in POE.
Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4.
Can you tell us something about thé 4.0 méga update, will we get liké for example thé ability to chose our charactheres gender or something like that. Thanks
