Developer Questions and Answers

Have you thought that maybe you need to start distancing from reddit as a main source of communication with the community?
Whats being done to stop the blatant use of trade bots? Flipping currency, selling maps, etc is extremely profitable even if you only make .25-1c profit each trade a bot can make 5000 of those trades a day with zero effort. Its even more obvious on standard where you can see the same names for months and months on 24/7 and doesnt matter what time of the day will instant invite and trade.

Do you think it's time to buff blue packs and rare mobs on maps to actually offer some sort of challenge instead of just being insta killed?

this so much. Its time GGG's own forums be used as a main source of communication. I hate checking reddit and its circle jerk of whining/crying for any info from GGG.
After 5 years of playing...
Why trade system still sucks?
Why spam bots that target scam noobs in trade 1-2 aren't banned?
Why there is no real antibot system?
Why is your game economy ran by trade bots that not only trade currency to other players, but also are responsioble of the majortity currency being traded + flipping currency 24/7.
Why endgame is so boring?

Well i could ask questions half a day, but GGG won't care anyways.
# Development centric questions
* How does the GGG tech-stack look like?
* How many developers usually participate in a 13 week release and what is the average team size if those are split among multiple teams?
* For whichever developer who answers those:
__* What was the most important thing you have learned developing for Path of Exile?
__* (Rephrase for your actual VCS and a similar command): How often do you use git blame and discover you are the person to blame?
__* What are all developer buzzwords which describe your job and day-to-day work (agile, lean, crunch, ... - and just for the sake of completeness: the "blockchain")
__* Which is the actual technical skill you have the feeling you lack the most and aquiring it would improve your life as developer?
__* What kind of game would like to make (no matter if as solo project, or if you would own a game development company)?
__* Which of your design decisions do you regret the most (must not be in terms of a feature, but actual architecture, pattern - or whatever comes to your mind)
__* How would your life look if stackoverflow went down tomorrow and never came back?

# The boring PoE related questions everybody expects
* Favorite build and why?
* Most boring build you actually played (and likely have given up or come back to from time to time to feel 'The Suffering')?

# Personal questions
* Whom would you like to dine with if you could invite anybody for the PoE Con VIP Dinner, and why?
* Who is your favorite developer or (game) designer (digital, pen-paper, board - choose whatever you want), and why?
* Who in your team do you look up to the most, and why?
* What is your guilty-pleasure (what do you enjoy, while knowing most other peoples dislike or hate - does not need to be game related, but you get bonus points if it is), and why?

1. What are your long and short term plans for fixing trade?

2. Currently running maps in standard from previous map sets doesn't count towards dailies (IE if arsenal was a T10 last league but now its a T5 even if I run an old T10 version it won't count towards my zana daily on my atlas' T5 version). Is this something that is going to be addressed? It's especially important now that the Atlas will be reshuffled every league...

Never once did I check reddit for anything and I don't feel like I have been missing anything. Pretty much everything note worthy is announced here in Announcements.
Currency drop questions:
1) Are currency drops weights changed on daily basis without giving notice to the community?
2) Are streamers having "better" (for more valuable currency drops) weights than ordinary players?
3) Are supporting users (those who paid) having "better" weigths than non-paying users?
4) Are newcomers having "better" weights than old players?
5) Do currency drop weights depend on number of players currently playing the game or is it independent?
MY CHALLENGES ARE DONE ON HC, IT'S NOT SC GUYS!
Do you have plans to slow the gameplay down?
(at the moment players can rush mindless throught the story and maps, it feels allmost like a walking simulator with fireworks around you.)

Do you have plans to make rare items great again?
(sure, we got all kind of new item-types, like shaped/eldar/fractured/temple, but those changed nothing about the basic rares. those got even worse with all the new modes they can role.)

Do you have any plans to get crafting into one clear system?
(we have currency, essences, fossils, beastiary-crafting, the crafting bench and all kind of different types of rares. it feels artificial fragmentet and it is near by impossible to explain it to new players.)

Do you have any plans to bring Flasks more into one line with the other types of gear
(Those are very powerfull and easy to craft, but there is no way to process in the category of gear, aside of a hand full of uniques everyone wants.
The Game offers us Flasks as Permanent Gear, this is a great change, up from the consunable items other games like d2 have, but they are in a wyrd spot since the early days of the game, no other part of the gear is build up to the max with a hand full of alteration orbs, but stagnates at the reached point forever, after finaly finding the right flasks.)
"don't worry GGG, it's ok!"
Good time of day

Is it possible to add buttons to the settings to turn off some effects?

1. Shade
2. Rain
3. Wind
4. Grass
5. Smoke
6. Dust
7. Mist
8. Haze
9. Blood
10. Blown up corpses
11. Sound
12. Sun Rays
13. Falling snow
14. Falling ash
15. Falling embers

And other visual effects with a similar theme.
