Not really, it's fun to watch for a couple more, and still has had some great moments.

But glad it's coming to an end.

I really enjoy the season 8 so far, I don't see why people keeps whinning.
But I agree with you, glad it's coming to an end. Every good story has an end. Let end this one while it's still good, And not turn into the next Walking Dead.

You're in a thread that's literally full of people explaining all the bad writing and plot nonsense and you "don't see why people keeps whinning"? As for "Let end this one while it's still good", it's way too late for that. Which you well know since you've acknowledged seeing all the "whinning" saying as much. It's only 'still good' for you - this thread, many many YT videos and online articles and Reddit posts and even the rating for the episodes themselves are showing that it's not 'still good' for a lot of others.

it's still a very good show... I enjoy it at all, I don't care if a whiny kid on youtube decided it's bad for himself.

I havent looked at any leaks, but I can already imagine its more female power, hear me roar Mary Sue action?

Jon gonna be reduced to NK plot levels where hes just there to create conflict for the women. His story is over and he didn't even get to finish it. Him learning of his past is probably just get Dany going.

I mean, they basically trashed his entire storyline to throw a random twist in there with Arya not only killing NK, but Naruto Ninja running so silently and fast hair is flying, and then going Air Jordan on the NK.

I can only imagine what Jon is gonna be reduced to for the rest of the season. Watching him yell at that dragon, being useless, literally reminded me of every sitcom husband. I dunno why, but Everybody Loves Raymond just popped into my head while hes standing there yelling at that dragon. Like really? Tim the fkin tool man Taylor baby.

Here's probably whats gonna happen. Jon gonna get killed by Dany, cause she wants to be queen. Cersei probably kills one of her 2 stupid brothers, and then the other kills her. Probably stabs her through the stomach to get the kid and her both for the shock value. Sansa/Arya get mad at Dany cause she killed their brother for power. They kill her. One of those ends up on the throne. Game over.

If we were really lucky, Cersei wins.

There's no need to push that far for a reason why the show sucks now. The creators didn't say they chose Arya for her gender, only a lot of the media did that. They themselves said they did it simply cos she was unexpected. It was for nothing more than shock value - the fact that they're reaping some virtue points from it is just the media's (and Twitter's) work.

I actually wouldn't be too surprised if Jon actually does come out on top, the way things are going now. Cersei is being drawn up as a monster beyond redemption and Dany as finally falling to the dark side. Tyrion and Varys are already discussing Jon as a better alternative. So after promoting all this 'women on top' stuff for the last couple seasons, they might very well put a dude on the throne anyway JUST COS aka just cos it's unexpected! Cos that seems to be their guiding principle for drawing people in now, since actually inventive and intricate plotting seems to be beyond them.

Then again, I just explained how they seem to be building up Dany and Cersei for a fall, which means maybe they're expecting people to think Jon is being readied for the throne, which of course (by their 'logic') means it can't be him. Hell, maybe Podrick will take the throne?! I don't know. It's hard to make predictions when the writers whole schtick seems to be nothing more than "GOTCHA!!"...

Not whining, just the person I watch it with we are making way too many smartass comments while watching; it's not a great sign. We always do a bit, but ... this last one was really bad for it. Funny, yes, we are cracking each other up and then they are finding all the memes right after, laughing and being annoyed it's so dumb. It's ok, still some good bits to enjoy.

Walking Dead, is that still going?

Used to watch it, and like it mostly but that episode with Negan and Lucille, that wasn't what I signed up for, and the show lost me. Felt off after that episode, it wasn't right. Can watch a lot, depends how it's done. That was just awful and out of place. Picked it up again a year or so later, only to go through the rest of that scene as the start of the next season, but didn't get far. Killing off that beloved character - let alone in that way - was a mistake.

The tiger? more Angsty Rick? Yea, nah.

Fear the Walking Dead was better, but haven't finished that either.

All good, plenty of TV out there.

Yup Walking Dead is still runing, It's just a dumpster fire hell now.

I do think GoT is taking a good direction, with what they took from the books it's due to end now. If the show directors would have taken everything from the books there would be 15 seasons to be at this point now. This is taking the Breaking bad route, people will find anything to complaint about in the last few episodes, because inside they wanted more. But in the end, I'm pretty sure the ending will be worth it.

It's not one whiny kid. It's legions. And they've posted detailed explanations for why they think so. Even for just that one episode - from the atrocious battle tactics to the plot armor to the narrative inconsistency to pointlessness of some of the few deaths we did actually see to the trashing of the lore to the lack of clarity as how certain things (like that infamous kill) were actually accomplished and on.

And your response to that is merely "I still enjoy it"? You're entitled to that feeling, of course, but don't pretend that invalidates all the thoughtful dissection of their many errors that so many have done. Enjoy it if you wish, but that doesn't make it good. If you want to argue it is good, then you're gonna have to wade into the argument yourself and actually construct a justification - make a case for why it's still good. Cos the people of the opposite view have done plenty on their side to show why it isn't (and the 'silent majority', in case you're gonna whip that out next, have expressed their feelings too by way of the much lower ratings).

I remember when Watching Breaking Bad, people were angry during the last season, it was looong, not enough action... too much of this. Everything was a subject of complaints. Just like GoT. People were mad because it was ending. But if they gave us more season of Breaking Bad it would have became shit over time for sure.

Ohhhh you have no idea about how Walking Dead is bad now, it used to be my favorite show. Now I just "watch" the episodes in fast forward while cleaning my apart.

I haven't seen the game of thrones yet, as I'm waiting for the whole season to come out and then the discs on BR. But most of the reviews I've heard and people I've talked to said the episode was great(except for the darkness). I think the people that will be disappointed is those whom have knowledge about tactical warfare(such as yourself), which is probably only like 5% of the viewers. Most people just want to be entertained. I'm not saying you are wrong, just saying that very viewers care about the things you mentioned.....

Thank about how many times you watch an action drama, where the guns never run out of bullets? Or how the good guys in gun battles almost ALWAYS seem to escape death. Many unrealistic situations and stupid decision making, but it never diminishes the ratings at all, as people just want to be entertained.

It wasn't just the bad military tactics that made that episode bad, trust me. It also had terrible plotting, plot armor an inch thick, pointless deaths for half of the few who did die, a 'twist' that comes out of nowhere but (unlike good twists) makes less and less sense the more you think about it and a virtual invalidation of worlds' lore and a lot of the narrative buildup of the last 7.5 seasons. The poor tactics is, for the reason you mention, the least of its problems.

I think it was a good twist, the person who killed the NK was in my top 3 list.

You can actually really see it coming as

Spoiler
she trained the entire show for that moment and multiple hints were sent that she would be the one who would kill him

It was a good episode and a good battle overall, not my favorite of the show but still a great one.
