Got some new gloves, they have the mod 30% increased trap damage.

When I equip them, I do not see an increase in the listed dps of my traps. Am I missing something, is the math figured differently?

Even using PoB when I remove the gloves, my listed trap damage per hit goes down by less than 7%.

In-game tooltips for calculating DPS are pretty scuffed for traps, because it calculates the cast speed instead of trap throwing speed for DPS.

For PoB, the damage calculation is much accurate as you see the average hit damage drop/increase according to the changes u made in gears, then multiply it by number of traps being thrown per second for true DPS.

Just wanted to give some feedback.

I wanted to play an off meta build so I decided to give ice trap a go.
Damage is solid on bosses, clearspeed is pretty average.
Balancing stats to keep mana regen high was interesting.

The big problem I had initialy was survivability in red maps, I got one shot A LOT.
I decided to make some changes to alievate that weakness.
Capping my chaos res and using decoy totem instead of siphoning trap changed everything and I barely die anymore. The totem is a must have imo.
I don't really care about Sirus, but I did an awaken 5 kill without any difficulty.

The only problem I have now is finding a focus to upgrade my gear.
I'm leveling awaken cold dammage and awaken cold pen but beyond that I don't really see a big buy that could truly push my damage further.

Anyway, I have 6K life and 1.35m boss DPS without flasks, so that number is much higher in reality.

The build is really fun to play and overall not that expensive.

Edit : Killed Sirus at awakening level 8.
The only thing I lack is a proper helm enchant.
