Path of Exile: Synthesis FAQ
" Incursion's actually fun, except I wish there was a way in-game to systematically keep track of what rooms you've explored in previous temples so you know what to go for to unlock higher Alva favor. I wouldn't miss Betrayal down the line, honestly. Awakened Combustion Support when?

I guess the absence of Royale is actually the april fools joke?

Beside the terrible decaying system, for me the RNG system is the biggest problem. I know I know this is an ARPG but lately I feel that the rng layers just became worse and worse.
Look at Abyss for example: 1. get a high level map 2. hope that an abyss depth spawn 3. hope that a boss will spawn there 4. hope that it will drop something nice Breach, Perandus and some of them was kinda the same. But then here comes delve, incursion, synthesis, and even betrayal. A normal route: 1.Rng that you find big maps so you will get high level zones. 2.Rng: Get a memory node with 2-4 connetcion 3.Rng: Get that memory node with the right rotation 4.Rng: Get the wanted node on the memory map. Be it an armor box, or the cortex memory which has really low chance to spawn it seems. 5.Rng: How far that node spawned from your nexus. If too far then repeat Layer 1-3 more to gain enough memory thing with the right paths. 6.Rng: If it is not a boss node then hoping that the node will contain more chests, since suprise it is rng. 7.Rng: Get something nice from a chest, an unique maybe, or you get some nice base items( yes you can get them from normal killing and by that reduce the layer of rng but still) And if you want an unique ring that you can hope that the boss will drop it, hope that it will drop the ring that you want , hope that it has the right mod, hope that you can synthetyse the right mod on it. And somewhere in between these layers hope that the decay not ruin your run, hope that an another memory node not spawn close to your planned route and ruin it(maybe the memory spawn is fixed, but eh) And it is the same with delve. hope you find niko, hope that you get a nice amount of sulphite, hope that you find a nice zone, hope that the zone will contain many chests, hope that something nice will drop from it. And because all of these ingame it just getting worse and worse. You want to be effective and do every conent that you find? Then good luck against the 30-40 different type of layered RNG things. And when you can't find for example a green city, or blue since delve league(not speaking about bosses caus that would be evene worse) because of RNG it is just utterly dissapointing. At this point I honestly expect that the next league will be even more random.
Theres waaaaay to much going on, and now there's more masters than ever that we have to keep track off?
I don't wana delve, but oof, there's niko in my map - oh, it filled the bar, guess I gotta delve, -Oh finally! I can map again! -OH NO, now there's einheart, guess I gotta catch beasts, etc. etc. You can see my point here, if we wanted to farm delve, or incursions, or syndacite, we could. But now more than ever we are overburdened with decisions that stop our mapping and make us do something we don't wana do out of fear that we're missing out on something else. Now more than ever we rely on rotations and groupchats to find out niko/einhart/whatever we wana ACTUALLY do, and most of the community is NOT doing rotations on /global 820, they're casual players who usually dont trade much or engage heavily with the community. I think we should be able to pick 1 or 2 masters, and those master shows up twice as much on our maps and other masters show up less. It's not a good solution since maybe a month from now you might wana hardcore delve and just want niko's, but it might fix some problems. |

" This I have enough to think with the usual mechanics, so I don't bother much with synthesis. I really hated the league at the beginning, now I feel it ok-ish, still it is a bit clunky, I wish it was easier to build the paths to memory reward.
" " Pretty poor example since that mechanic was removed? Also does spawned loot drop at Cavas even if you fail to reach the goal? If not than that should be addressed in the "What are Fragmented Memories?" section of the FAQ. " LOL I know that feel one thing I really hate is the fact that you actually need to do Delve to unlock some crafting recipes Last edited by rugalb666 on Apr 1, 2019, 3:44:39 AM

Dear Bex and GGG staff
This league, is to complex for it'sown good. please please please never made something as this league again. We all have work to do in our day job, please don't make is a chore to enjoy your game, I really love PoE, I really do, but when stuff like this came out, idk, it kills my mojo off I guess, not everybody is a twitch streamer that have all day dealing with RNGs. This league is so unintuitive to play with even more than betrayal. writing down notes to reminds us off is kinda helpful, but please just use 'Show don't tell' principle. I pray for your success and health, always Cheers PS: to whoever read this and have a different opinion, chill, this is also an opinion. i don't intend to hurt anyones feeling
" And PoE is PoE, not Warframe or Eve Online. I started playing since Legacy, most of those leagues are comparatively straight forward and easy to digest, yet have surprisingly strong longevity (for me at least) without league mechanic that might as well be their own games. I think as far as complexity goes, Delve is probably as far as it should go before it just becomes too much. The problem is currently exacerbated with all the previous leagues going core, making endgame content so bloated. |
