3.6.3 Patch Notes

meh... nothing that would bring ppl back
Anyone want to bet this will be an overall nerf, because the 5 modifier memories won't be boosted enough to match even a previous 10 modifier memory much less a 20?

The mechanic is clunky, non-intuitive, unrewarding overall. This won't change that.

GL all:)
Fixed a bug where some players which owned the Sunspire or Doomguard Hideouts had their Hideout selection removed, causing it to appear as if they had lost their Hideout.

Thanks...
This patch is a complete disaster. On paper the memory mechanics is actually interesting (heavily inspired by the game Carcassonne as the developers said themselves), having to cleverly build up a path to get the best rewards you can, i.e. GLOBAL mods affecting ALL connected nodes. The better you are with your planning, the better you should be rewarded.
Polishing the bugs and balancing the global mods would be just enough to make all of this practically interesting, not just theoretically.
Just a few examples of literally idiotic mods:
-chance to get a currency shard for mobs, meaning a useless one. You won't get Kalandra don't worry, jesus not even some exalted shards.
-chance to get quality modifier currency. Juicy.
-The BEST one: some of the synthesised mobs you kill become your allies. Seriously who decided to put this one in?
On the other hand we have some actually very powerful mods like
-chance to get fossils
-chance to get breach splinters (2-5 for drop)
And one final adjustment could be an increase on the number of maps you can actually have in the nexus (and maybe even the ones you collect), and of the mods you can have. Too often the game told me "you have too many of that, you have too many of this" and that's not good at all. I deserve to have everything i built up.

BUT NO!

You want to give up and make this mechanic absolutely anonymous and braindead.
Congratulations.
When are the hideout spawn bug being fixed?

If I'm in a map, and take a portal back to my h/o, I don't spawn on my waypoint, but rather spawning at the furthest corner of my h/o.
hopefully im talking about the client crash they said they fixed in this upcoming patch, but for a couple days now i am completely unable to play the game, as it has an error in loading the fonts before i am even at the ggg logo. what am i suppose to do until then? is there ANY way i can play it? and whatre they gonna do if what theyre talking about is a different crash? i cant be the only one. the exact error message is:

That usually happens if something (wall or hideout geometry, a physical decoration, etc) is near or on the "front" of the map device, so it has nowhere to spawn you back to - make sure the front of the map device (especially if it's the large version) is clear of debris. And you only spawn back at the waypoint if you die, otherwise you spawn back in front of the map device, as far as I've experienced.
I appreciate you trying to improve Synthesis, although the changes seem to be diverting more and more from the original design, and it looks like you're trying to satisfy the players while avoiding simply letting us rotate memories at all costs. However, giving the Memory Modifiers a maximum cap of five, and the fact that the modifiers will no longer be applied to all memories in sequence seems like a big nerf. I think stacking mods was probably the main attraction of Nexus when the league started. Still, it is good to see that you're trying to work out the golden formula, even if it's too late for that for some players.
Synthesis so far seems to have been the unfortunate case of dev expectations and player expectations not overlapping.

If nothing else, Memories are free experience in place of Maps, and some potential loot.

However, it's hard for me to truly experience and judge Synthesis in either patch, simply because the Syndicate has been very efficiently killing the league for me. The freezes and kicks-to-menu they cause make the game unplayable whenever they appear (this is not limited to Intervention, although that is the worst offender). Opening a new map I quietly pray for it to not roll Syndicate. Whenever they spawn I lose a lot of time looking at loading screens, and it makes me want to quit my session for the day and play something else every time.

I didn't want Betrayal to go into the core game, simply because I got tired of it during its own league. It was fun, and worked fine 90% of the time, but I just had my fill of it at the time. Little did I know it was coming back, except completely broken, and taking down the rest of the game with it.

I'd gladly remove Syndicate from the game along with all the veiled mods if it meant I could finally play the game again normally. On that note, there is not much point in farming veiled mods anyway, since they and all the other crafting mods will be reset with the new league. I feel this murdered the crafting system. I fondly remember when I just had to do some repetitive dailies to have the essential crafting mods at my disposal, guaranteed. You removed that system to replace it with something a lot more tedious. Trying to farm out all the recipes, even if just for completion's sake, is completely futile. I just can't imagine going around the entire content to get the recipes, not for more than one or two leagues. By the way, it's weird to have 1500 fusings, but no six-link recipe to actually use them with. This will probably be the 3rd league including Delve where I haven't found any Primeval Ruins.

Honestly, I'd just rather do Delve than any of the other content, especially since it's the one place where the Syndicate doesn't spawn. If only sulphite was more common, but alas that was nerfed.

On a final note, I just want to mention that the overall performance of game has been steadily decreasing for me since Delve. I may not have a high-end rig, but in Delve the game played very smoothly, except for the weird issue of getting kicked from loading screens back to the main menu repeatedly after a fresh launch, an issue that has unfortunately persisted since then. I can only hope the game engine gets some love soon.

Thanks.
