I never quit a league so fast...sorry I'm bored to be a beta tester.

Btw fun fact, those patch notes are arriving the day Grim Dawn expansion is out. Some will say that the changes were done just because of that...
Still no Betrayal content removal/opt-out... FFXIV it is then.
Top 10 things that need to happen in 3.6.3

1.) Fix Standard Atlas / Map Situation.
2.) Find Niko. I haven't seen him since I've been stuck in White Map Hell. I never thought I would ever say this, but LET ME DELVE AND GET AWAY FROM THE TRASH THAT IS SYNTHESIS MAPPING
3.) FIX MAP DROPS. I'm level 82, and I've been stuck in White Map Hell, because MAPS AREN'T DROPPING
4.) Fix Standard Atlas / Map Situation.
5.) Find Niko. I haven't seen him since I've been stuck in White Map Hell. I never thought I would ever say this, but LET ME DELVE AND GET AWAY FROM THE TRASH THAT IS SYNTHESIS MAPPING
6.) FIX MAP DROPS. I'm level 82, and I've been stuck in White Map Hell, because MAPS AREN'T DROPPING
7.) Fix Standard Atlas / Map Situation.
8.) Find Niko. I haven't seen him since I've been stuck in White Map Hell. I never thought I would ever say this, but LET ME DELVE AND GET AWAY FROM THE TRASH THAT IS SYNTHESIS MAPPING
9.) FIX MAP DROPS. I'm level 82, and I've been stuck in White Map Hell, because MAPS AREN'T DROPPING
10.) Make The Entire Synthesis Memory Garbage Not Suck.

11. "The Bonus") DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT PUTTING SYNTHESIS IN THE CORE GAME.

Check out the Lost Ark from Eleventh Hour Games. It is all PoE was, and more.

About 2 years ago PoE took a wrong turn toward developing new content. Lost Ark is a mix of PoE and Diablo series, taking the best from both.

It's still in Alpha, but Beta is coming this April, with the release scheduled for April 2020.

I strongly recommend it, my guildies are all excited about switching to an alternative.

PoE in 2019 is too complex and not fun, mostly due to bugs and boring content.
Still have a limit on memory fragments and decay. Still going to avoid it and do delve.

Dude... We already paid full game price for a currency tabs. The fragment tab is a ripoff, and now you're literally asking to be ripped off again?!

We (at least me and others asking for Fossile/Resonator Stash tabs) want a clean and organized Stash. It makes moneywise no difference if i buy multiple 4xStash Tabs to store all my Fossiles and Resonators, but it makes a huge difference in that stuff being sortet like my other currency.

(...)
Also why don't fossils stack in the first place? Because obviously the plan is to fleece us eventually with another full game priced stash tabs that becomes effectively mandatory to play well enough to stream or place.

I know those feels man...

Feels like the end is coming for me.

GGG is aware that they cannot increase their market effectively. This is why they create optional hundreds of childish decorations and obligatory stash tabs - they need money to exist and because it is not possible to have money from the new players they try to make money on the existing stable pool of players.
This is very, very sad for me. I was very happy once I discovered this game existence in 2014. I wanted it to be successful and popular. Unfortunately, GGG seems to be unable to create a game which could keep people interested for longer time. There is no end-game content. There is only never-ending farming, which is not acceptable for majority of potential players. Everything must have a reason. Lets take some examples of farming games - there are Lineage and WOW - both games had millions players all around the world. Why? Because content is interesting for long time. Because regardless of a long and not always very interesting farming activities required to achieve something, there is still something to be done when you achieved maximum level on your character and you collected a proper set of end-game gear. Some people say that this is time where the right part of the game starts. This does not exist in PoE. Only thing you can do is to farm on standard league or to farm in the seasonal league. Once you achieve level 100 and have good end-game gear worth tens or in some case hundred exalts there is really nothing more to be done. Obviously, majority of players will see that before they will reach this point. They will quit earlier.
So, GGG is creating cheap 3D effects, new fancy skins, head attachments, wings, pets, etc. and they reset the Atlas to create a new set of (old) maps or create non-stackable currencies. This cost almost nothing but can increase the income for some time. To repair a handicapped game mechanics or to make the game engine less faulty is far more difficult. To create the end-game content seems to be impossible for GGG, as they did not provide anything like that during last 5 years.

There are two ways of maintaining players in pve mmo/online game.

1) Infinite power creep, for both players and content.
PSO2 does this. It's not very interesting and requirements of getting further into the game are also getting more and more ridiculous.
But it keeps people in their comfort zone, you spice it up with new cosmetics and some distractions and it works for long periods of time, decades sometimes.
I think most WOW clones do this as well.

2) Infinite feature creep, for both players and content.
POE and Warframe do this. Instead of raising maximum strength of players and enemies, devs just keep adding different sort of content, like new gameplay modes, new locations, new items and weapons that are not stronger than older ones, but function differently.
It's better way on paper, but it's much more difficult to keep coming up with something new, as even the most creative mind will struggle at some point.
And in case of POE, the engine itself can barely hold any more content in it.
And we ended up with repeated but INFERIOR mechanics.
Syndicate is just worse bestiary.
Synthesis is just worse incursion+delve.
And tbh incursion is just worse breach in the first place.

3) You can try to combine the two, but it's usually bad idea.
PSO2 tried it and failed.
Warframe tried it and failed.
You just stick to one formula.

Now what I think is that the 1st method would probably work better for POE.
Instead of feature creep, maybe they should streamline existing content, like they did with bestiary, and just add another 100 levels and 20 tiers of maps and item levels and affixes and just let people delve for eternity like most of us want.

And ease up on p2w aspect.
Maybe let players to expand their storage through playing.
Maybe if you kill uber-atziri she can drop 1/4th of regular stash tab.
Collect 4 and you get character-bound extra tab. Make it tradable or whatever.
Warframe lets you grind for more storage, why wouldn't POE do it?

You are probably right. I would advise to PoE developers to create something different, where it would be possible to use all this heavily farmed gear.
For Example:
- there could be created proper, powerful and very challenging raid bosses, complicated enough to be not possible to be defeated by single players or even by single parties - his could build stronger in-game communities and guilds.
- there could be created a proper PvP content incl. some kind of mass PvP - that would be quickly the essence of guilds and team play.

Btw.
Delve was very successful (and now GGG is trying to reduce this success due to stupid sulphite access restriction), because you could scale your gear and skill in some kind of an unlimited and never-ending challenge. To reach 200 level in the mine is not very easy but every average player can do that. I believe level 500 is hard enough for most non professional (no-life) players. But, for some very skilled and hard working players it was possible to reach a level 6000 and thousands of people were watching this achievement on Twitch. This is good - if you think you are good, you can always go slightly deeper. No... now you cannot - you will have no sulphite.
