I am running the Steam version of the game on ubuntu 18.10
via Steam Play 3.16-8 Beta. I launch the game through Steam big picture, because I play with the steam ocntroller and use the overlay for radial menus, which doesnt work for proton if you start the game regularely. All fps are measured in the same spot of my hideout and what I have seen while getting intervention ganks. When the big 3.6 synthesis update hit and I played on the first League day - I had 100-120 fps. Lowest I have seen during gameplay was 60 during an intervention gank. At that point it made a difference if Proton had esync enabled via PROTON_NO_ESYNC env variable in the user_settings.py for POE and the launch param "PROTON_VARIABLE=1 %command%" With esync (no launch param) I had 65-75 fps, with esync disabled I had 100-120. Then there was a small patch on ~day 3 or so, but I can't exactly remember, and after that my fps went down to 60-70 in the same spot. Lowest I see currently during gameplay is 10 during an intervention gank (sometimes accompanied by a 1-2 sec freeze) Changing esync settings and any other Proton parameters doesn't change the fps anymore. I also tried running it under the newer 5.0.3 Kernel which didn't make a difference. My settings are: - vsync off - dynamic resolution off - everything else as low as possible. Steam and POE are installed on a Corsair MP300 M.2 NVMe SSD I don't really know how to run dxdiag from inside of Proton, so here is the full Linux lshw output:
