Fantastic! Keep going strong Kamil Orman-Janowski.
"You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

A1 & A2 town music was perfect. Changing that is... pfff.
Crucible supporter here, where's my download link for this?!
I'm very fond of Kamil's music, so I'm happy to hear about his new pieces being added to the game. However, hearing that current music is being replaced by the new is saddening; bringing in new music is good, but getting rid of well-loved old music isn't good.

Now, the same music used in Act 6's Twilight Strand is also used in Act 6's The Coast, in the Coral Hideout, the Strand map, and other areas/maps with the same tileset(s). Would it not be feasible to keep the current music for some of these areas & maps, while replacing it with the "remixed" version for others of these areas & maps?

For example, Act6 TwiStrand could keep the current theme, while Act6 Coast could have the new version. Coral Hideout could have current one, while Strand map have updated. Or any combination thereof.

And while we're talking about that song, does anyone know for sure what it's called? It's the current music that plays on The Strand. I can't find any official mention anywhere, but someone on the Internet seems to think it's called "The Coast."

In other news, I'm very pleased about the plan to allow switching music in hideouts. Some of them have music which, while not at all bad music, does not do well for repeated listens over dozens of hours. And meanwhile, others have pieces which never get old.
Wow, the new music is great and really fits the dark fantasy aesthetic of the game. I do feel a bit sympathetic to the people who have been around for a lot longer though and feel nostalgic attachment to the old music. I like the suggestion to add an option to swap the music back and forth? (sort of like some games have let you do with models - heck, a couple years ago I threw a couple bucks at a freemium mmo to have my old stripey purple beastmaster kitty back... though I'd hope this option would be free, since the music has already existed for a while)

I'm the kind of person who keeps the music for my first several hours of play and then turns it down and listens to my true crime podcasts with the game music on quietly in the background. Needless to say I'll be doing that after the music rehaul, but I appreciate the composer's artistry and hard work nonetheless.

My initial gut-reaction to this is, if PoE starts to go down the rabbit-hole of supporting alternate "legacy" assets, where would it end? And would it not lead to excessive bloating of each patch, when chances are good that the majority would never (or barely ever) use those legacy assets?

In addition, if the legacy music is being removed, that could lend credence to the claims that Kamil's predecessor incorporated sounds and elements of dubious origin and questionable legality. That's not a topic that I know the facts or details in, so I can't really debate those claims either way. But if there are legal rights issues behind the removal of the legacy tracks then they wouldn't be able to offer those as alternative tracks either.

That being said, it's not exactly difficult to "custom-soundtrack" Path of Exile, given that the majority of us can simply set the in-game music volume to 0 and fire-up a VLC, Youtube or Spotify playlist and have any track we like playing in the background. Even XBox One and PS4 players can do that, through the use of Spotify or MP3s played from USB flash drives.
Lioneye's Watch - best theme in the game is replaced. I am not happy at all tbh:(
