How to craft a 480+ pDPS jewelled foil?

I have checked those good swords on poe trade and found that most of them have a "flaring" prefix. If there is only a flaring prefix, it's gonna be 410 pDPS after crafting multi mods and other necessary mods. If the sword has two mods like flaring+ attack speed, or flaring + hybrid physical mod, then the pDPS is gonna be high.
There are some options to start: 1) alteration spamming until you get 1 or 2 good mods, then regal and annul. 2)craft mana, then regal for one good mod. (If the mod you hit is flaring, then the dps is going to be around 410 after crafting multi mods. If you hit "merciless", then the sword can have 500+ dps) 3)craft mana, then augmentation for 1 good mod, and regal for another. (attack speed + merciless, or attack speed + flaring) I just wanna try this, any suggestions will be appreciated. Which mods should I look for? (combinations) My goal is to hit a 480+ pDPS sword. Maybe i didnt fully understand you, but: If you want 480+ pDPS then you can alt/aug until you hit at least hybrid or t1, regal, annul and multi mod. But you already said that.. If you hit amazing alt/regal you could slam/annul if you are ballsy i guess? Never did something big like that myself.. |

If you want to make 480 pdps+ foil, then isolating flaring and multimodding will most likely not be enough, and that is also due to the fact that they 'fixed' some of the quality crafts during midleague. However, with some proper divining you could definetely get close to it.
It should be noted that there are some crafts to consider that may grant more damage despite not appearing in pdps, such as hits can't be evaded. Since the league reached some late stages, generally speaking some crafting currency like alts and annuls went up in price, but assuming you are aware of it we can proceed. Obviously, the potentially best foil would not be result of multimodding, but just hitting t1s on phys/hybrid/flat/aps, but this is way easier said that done and odds of this are so small that this approach should be given up immediately. Thus, the idea should be to altspam. Odds of hitting t1phys(merciless) and t1 hybrid(dictators) are both equal to about 1/2000, while hitting t1 flat(flaring) is about 1/300, so much more likely. The best outcome of pure altspam would be hitting either t1phys or t1hybrid or t1flat and t1 aps(celebration) at the same time. If then you can manage to regal and hit 33% annul, you will have 500pdps+ foil with multimod. Sometimes you may also land just one of them but get lucky on the regal. The alternative to annuling which I should mention is bestcraft 'split item in two'. Chance of randomly alting double t1 like I mentioned are about 1/50000, counting the regal case you could say 1/25000. Then take into account annul chance and it becomes 1/75000. Having said that, you may happen to be fine with landing t1 and t2, or you may decide after bad regal that you still want to multimod it. Either way, it will require lots of attempts but given enough currency and dedication certainly possible. |

" I'm not sure if alteration+augmentation+regal combo is good enough to get desired results. For example, you hit T1 increased physical damage+ fire resistance. After using the regal orb, you get something like strength. If this happens, you need two annul orb to get rid of those two trash mods. First annul has 2/3 chance, second one has 1/2 chance to not fail. Put together, you only have 1/3 chance to have the t1 physical mod left. If it's T1 flat phys,even if you succeed and get a rare sword with one "flaring" prefix, the pDPS cannot be higher than 420. The craft mana+ regal combo is quite expensive. The mana+ aug+ regal combo has very low chance of success. I just want to know how other people craft their own 480+ dps swords. |

to get 480+ you need to hit t1/t1 then multi.
so you're looking at t1 hybrid and t1 attack speed. then multi it and pray on divines. with this, t1 hybrid, t1 attack speed, crafted phys, crafted %phys, crafted crit+quality and a base of 28% quality you can have a minimum of 424 pdps and a maximum of 499.4 pdps |
