Path of Exile Hideout Competition
Theme: After the boring Imperial Terraces theme i picked for the Forsaken Masters competition, I decided to go with...Imperial

The main entrance. Unfortunately, all the gods battles — especially Kitava — slightly changed the climate, so it's a bit dry around. To the right (western part of the garden): The fountain. Also used to move between areas. The southern part of the gardens: 'O fortuna!' Sculpture. It shows two nobles playing a game, each hoping to win all the money (surprise!). Unfortunately, not even a smallest trace of its rules has preserved. Eastern part of the garden: The left corner: Fountain of the dancing nymphs. You can see the Statue of an Offended Lady in the corner. They say this unusual pose is a result of the sculptor;s conflict with the depicted woman who is speculater to be the garden founder's wife. The bench below is the Oriath citizens favourite spot for making a marriage proposals. Oh, did I mention it's the garden where Daresso gifted Merveil the ill-fated necklace that changed their life forever? As the game lore says: " Even though I like this hideout much less, it took at least twice as much effort to create as my previous one. A big 'thanks' to all my friends who supported me claiming it's not terrible! ♡ The Bother progress: 11% You don't even imagine how much harm you've caused. I'm not sure I'll live long enough to finish "The Bother". You're one of my murderers. You will never get my forgiveness unless you make up for what you've done. "Enter the forbidden Glade, and embrace the strange, the unnatural.
Among the frozen bones of Nightmare, the dreams of life take form." - Navali

Hidden deep within the icy crevasses above Highgate lies a peculiar glade. The Maraketh call it the Virakhu, the Precipice, a forbidden entrance to the eternal depths of Wraeclast. Here the bitter mountain winds converge with the warm humidity rising from the abyss below, breeding a delicate fusion of northern rainforest and subterranean grove atop the blackened spire of rock piercing the glacier floor. The air reeks of the fetid cycle of life and decay, as pine, fir, root and fungi vie for dominance. The absence of light is forgotten among the fluorescent patches of moss casting an eerie verdant glow upon the mists. There are no birds. There are no beasts. Death lingers like a cold scythe at the end of summer, waiting to reap a crop long overdue. But the roots cling tighter and delve deeper, drawing strength from the immortal ones lurking below, and the fireflies dance in the mists as silent sentinels against the darkness. It is the bridge between Wraeclast and what lies beneath, a nexus of thaumaturgy and powers far older than Nightmare. In her days after Kitava's fall, the exiled Witch hunted ceaselessly for a sanctuary. Wraeclast knew her as the very spirit of vengeance, the slayer of Gods, the Liberator of Oriath. All praised her name and her courage, yet fear shadowed any attempt at true belonging. Intrigued by the echoing death throes of the Beast, she wandered, until one day she came upon a broken, winding trail very near to Tevarus' Resonator. It reeked of mystery, twisting and spiraling down the fissure. A cold comforting darkness embraced her as she descended, until finally she emerged into the Glade. A shiver of excitement pierced her veils of apathy. The air hummed with the complex weave of arcana and the teeming glow of improbable life, whispering to her by names only she knew. The mists clung to frostclad robes as if alive, measuring the Witch's will and finding it worthy. For the first time in her life, she beheld a mirror clearer than Kalandra's finest craft. She was home. This hideout is my first earnest attempt at creating a thematic home for a character. After the success of my Cold Occultist this league, I wanted a suitable, unique hideout for her. The Glacial layout was an obvious choice, but I wanted to do more with it than just snowclad ruins. So I began testing, first with the vivid green moss found in the Dungeon tileset, then with the Coastal rocks. A picture in my mind began to form, and this was its realization. Sadly, I cannot find a way to include the rest of the hideout in this design. I deliberately crafted this theme around the absence of snow. Even an inch left or right exposes the snowy rocks and the jarring black tops of the ridgelines, so I chose to sacrifice space for aesthetic. Besides, I always prefer compact, ergonomic hideouts compared to sprawling ones with the map device and waypoint a good walk apart from each other. The stash, map device, masters and crafting bench are all quickly accessed. A word of warning: Jun cannot spawn her portals anywhere in the hideout. Her ridiculous need for a football field of space around her is just not possible to satisfy given the constraints of the rocks and the dozens of decorations covering the floor. If you can find a place for her that works, I salute you. Otherwise you'll need to load a different hideout or spawn her in maps. This hideout is completely MTX free. Even the default portal fits very well with the overall theme of the hideout, leaving a fair amount of favor as the only cost. Thank you GGG for giving us the opportunity to really put effort into our hideout creations. It's enabled me to put some genuine personal investment into this game. |

Tileset: Brutal Hideout
Theme: Crystal / Azurite Dungeon Prison. I've gone several iterations on how to do this proper but this one I just did now seemed pretty much the best I can do. This was inspired by a Dark souls area called The crystal cave. The core area is smothered in basically roots / Crystals and a lot of azure veins to mimic crystals. The Top floor is Zana X Jun's area still covered in azurite and a lot of maps / boards for Zana The third floor is the ''prison'' for the syndicate leaders. https://youtu.be/fK8HuCSieEk Dys an sohm

Moonlight Oasis (no MTX)
Tileset: Skeletal Hideout/Ossuary Theme: Canyon oasis lit by moonlight and candlelight Master Levels: Zana 6, Einhar 6, Niko 5, Alva 4 (I suck at incursions) I wanted to show people what could be accomplished using only the in-game decoration resources from unmaxed masters. I also wanted to challenge myself to see if I could completely convert the Skeletal Hideout into something entirely different. I used nearly 300 pieces of stone and waged a constant battle against the decoration limit, but I had a lot of fun and learned a lot of new tricks. I hope you find it inspiring! I wasn't able to get a decent video tour, but feel free to message me if you catch me in-game if you want to visit. Currently playing as: ARTIRIEN_THE BETRAYED Central Oasis Tala moana, exiles! Looking for a place to relax between adventures? Need a break from all the blood, horror, and eldritch terror? Visit the Moonlight Oasis and give yourself a chance to rest and relax. This welcoming village offers swimming, hunting, fishing, shopping, worship, and more. Browse the wares of over 20 merchants by candlelight. Want a bite to eat? Head down to the southern pond for fresh meat and vegetarian fare. The seagull-on-a-stick guy may seem a bit odd, but his birds are top-notch (just don’t ask him about his hat). Pick up baskets, bottles, rugs, and other household goods at the central circle, then grab a drink with friends at the tavern and enjoy a hookah together. The weapon vendors in the western oasis will sharper your steel and restring your bow for you. Helena can help you craft that special something precisely to your taste, while Jun offers hand-to-hand combat training for those with the aptitude. Or you could stroll along the stream to the northern oasis and visit Zana’s library and Alva’s Vaal treasures for a bit of culture. Need to get in touch with your more primitive side? Head down to the Karui quarter. There you can pick up a hand-carved idol, visit the tribal elders in their clanhouse, let Navali divine your future, or let the boneseller reassure you that “in Hinekora’s dark realm, dead Kitava lies dreaming while awaiting the next turn of the endless cycle”. If you’re seeking a more mystical experience, light a candle at Hinekora’s statue while you’re there, visit Einhar’s grotto to see if the First Ones look upon the latest sacrifice with favor, offer a sword to Garukhan at the shrine of winds, or partake in a mind-opening experience with the mushroom vendor.
