Three socket resonator with bound, pristine and corroded and then pray on the annuls when you hit around 50% minion damage and damage on full life. I’ve made two weapons this way so far.

Even if you only get the damage on full life you can be fine as you can craft spell damage prefix for 1 ex that is about the same as the tier 3 minion damage.

I'm still leveling so maybe this will be addressed, but isn't it clunky to have to cast storm brand on every pack?

Or do you just drop storm brand every so often since it jumps enemies?

Edit: I'm dumb. The weapon enchant makes it so that socketed skills cast on ANY skill cast, not just when you cast a socketed skill.

Next question is: Do I just farm veiled weapons to get that enchant or can I target it specifically?

Have done all the content in the game with this build (deathless). Was a rly satisfactory playstyle experience, even without an end game gear. Character finish at max i think. TY for this guide.

I still haven't found it naturally. I ended up spending about 70c on a good example. The OP is right, it is a HUGE damage boost.
Thoughts on the Frost Walker node? Including the path to get it, it's 2 skill tree points for 30% cold damage (20% cold damage and 10% elemental damage) and 15% cold resist. I'm level 96 so I have some points to throw around post-guide. Is this a good choice or would you get something else?

I haven't PoBinged it but I'd guess thats 7-8% damage increase. If you need more damage that's fine. If you want more ES/survivability, I'd look at Mind Barrier. With a 300 ES, that's 60 extra ES and 10%chance to block spells

There is another way too but not sure if its easy or hard compared to this method.
You can try roll t1 "cold damage over time multiplier" (+38%) and if lucky, increased cold damage suffix with it (30%) or prefix (79%). This way you can use beastcraft (create imprint) and you have actually 2 or more times to try regal/annul it.
If you succeed, multi mod it and craft "increased over time", "spell damage" or if you managed to roll prefix cold damage, then you craft suffix cold damage and "trigger socketed gem".

This way can be expensive since +% cold damage over time multi is a bit rare roll.
Either way, damage is pretty much similiar with t1 minion/damage with full life roll.

Edit: You can also try roll "cold damage over time multi" only, regal/annul it and multimod it, this way you lose something like 15% cold damage, but its very easy compared to double roll method.

Also this method gives you change to roll something nice for other builds, gives good currency.

This is ideal start for very good sceptre:

Now it needs imprint, then regal and if not lucky with regal roll, then annul.. if not lucky with annul then imprint and try again. You can use as many as imprints you can get.

Posted second method above and managed to craft it too.



I used 400 alterations to get "cold damage over time multiplier" tier1 roll (i was lucky yes).
Then i imprinted item in menagerie in case i fail regal/annul. (125c)
I regaled it and got cast speed suffix which i managed to remove with annulment (i was lucky again).
Then i multimodded and crafted (3ex).
Total cost was around 4ex but thats only cause i was lucky enough.
If you are trying this method, you shoud have atleast 6ex+ to start with.
This weapon gives slightly more dps than minion/full life. Even more if you are lucky with regal and manage to roll high tier spell power/cold damage.
