[3.5] Occultist Vortex/Cold Snap ES/CI - Deathless and Safe Uber Elder and T16's

Stupid question, why is cast speed needed for this build? Most of the time you only cast Vortex which is instant cast. I can see it being useful for the times you actually need to cast Cold Snap but other than that it seems like a stat that could be better used for something else. Am i missing something?

Also, I may have missed it in the OP, but were any enchants recommended? A vortex one on the helmet is obvious, but what about boots/gloves?

This build is awesome, way better than everything I've played before. Got my first uber elder kill !!

please tell me, somebody, what is better as an implicit on a scepter:
increased elemental damage (let's say 40) or +12 cold over time multi? Rest of stats are identical

What exactly do you mean by cast speed? We don't take cast speed anywhere afaik, at least not as a standalone node...
Gloves enchant is not really relevant, you can go with one or without one, I personally would go for a corrupted+aoe gems as an endgame option but thats very much min maxing, for the boots regen to life and mana when hit is bis.

Because every third vortex is messed up with +50% resistance until the bomb explodes.

Frost bomb applies unfavorable EE only on explosion as far as I am aware, and it has never been a problem since for rares/unique mobs you generally want to be casting cold snap alongside with vortex which will trigger either orb of storms or Storm brand which overwrites the bad EE almost immediately.

I did run the exact setup you describe and yes its doable with enough mana regen.

Soul thief is the best pathing, the leech does nothing for us though.
and yes the damage applies to everything.

Good work and very nice guide with the small crafting tips and such.

My question is, how would you go with supporting 2 curses in blasphemy? Since Aspect of the spider is kinda expensive so before you get that, how would you get the second curse? Windscream boots? Corrupted amu? or just from tree tope left curse nodes or even sacrifice ascendancy points for it (by far the worst I guess). What would you drop to get the curse cluster on the tree for example?

would anybody be able to craft : trigger a socketed spell for me pls ?
