The video is just Bex being Bex, and you putting all your spare GGGbucks to good use. I give it a 4/5.

-1 because no ceiling / tree for the drop bears to actually drop from. Ruined my immersion.

Ah yes, those days. Those days when players actually fought with monsters. Danced with them.

Are you nostalgic for them too, GGG team members?

You can bring them back gradually, you know. No, adding more and more invulnerability phases to bosses is not the answer--it will just irritate your playerbase even more than such things already irritate them.

Instead--get this--how about reducing damage numbers across the board? Use diminishing-return calculations to make your balance job easier, and change this game back into the ARPG it used to be, rather than the arcade shooter / lawnmower simulator it has become.

Players hate being one-shot, right? People quit the game over that. Don't you think the monsters feel the same way? HAVE SOME COMPASSION FOR THE MONSTERS.

I love everything about this post, and not just the humor.

The size and scope of POE leagues have certainly expanded from the early days. But QA and balance seems to be on a decline. This holiday season left the game more poorly tuned than I could remember in recent history. Quality has to be matched with quantity. I hope Chris can find a better balance.

I'm afraid I have to agree with this.

While no one would deny that the sheer scope of content creation and release is impressive, it clearly has come at a very high price.

I think you underestimate your fanbase by believing they would abandon you in droves if you dedicated a release cycle to bug fixes and QA, with no (or very limited) brand-new content released alongside it.

You do yourself and your many fans a serious disservice by adhering to this business model of quantity-over-quality.
Wash your hands, Exile!
Always with yours GGG. Merry Christmas.
i started half a year before fall of oriath, stopped playing after level 40 (was boring back then), then with oriath a friend told me to play with him, since then im here every league
July 2012, still here every day.

~ I have selective hearing, and today, you have not been selected.
I started a couple months before Sacrifice of the Vaal released, if I remember correctly...
Made my first post at the end of Rampage league speculating on how they could incorporate Rampage into the core game.

There were still races back then... not even mentioned in this history?

The biggest thing I remember about the early times of this game, is my computer (which ran other stuff just fine) freezing every single time I'd open a strongbox with those hordes of instant monsters.

A new gaming rig has fixed that, which was my biggest problem with the game until...

Well, I still played up to the end of this history section, at least.
