Hi!
Thank you very much for the effort you put into this guide, it is a very good read! That said, I do not understand the APS calculation at all. " I have a 14% AS Cospiri's and 5% AS on the tree, as well as the 10% AS from Starkonja's. But my tooltip says that cyclone attacks 8.x times per second. That is obviously waaay faster than what your calculation assumes. What do I misunderstand here? Thanks for your help, man! SB May your maps be bountiful, exile

" since 3.7 cyclone's aps went from 3.7 to 7.4 it doubled so correct aps is 7.5 hope this helps IGN ARROWUPYOURAZZ

Hello,
With my current gears, I wanted to ask what should I be aiming for next for upgrades. And are there any adjustments I could make to my tree for more dps? Gears:

" Ah yes, thanks. I guess that means that all values in the OP's examples must be doubled? So if the optimum aps was 3, now it would be 6? That is still not achievable because cyclone is simply too fast. If I understood the rationale behind the optimum aps correctyl, it goes like this: If you crit before the CoC cooldown is over, that crit will not trigger any spells. So the optimum aps would be such that every time CoC comes off cooldown, we crit (or we crit really shortly afterwards, so we should err on the side of slightly lower aps). As CoC's cooldown is 1/6 of a second, we should aim for 6 (or 12 or 18) crits per second, right? (I assume 100% crit chance here, else the whole calc is moot) Assuming we cannot lower our aps to 6, we should try to hit 12. If that is unachievably high, we should go for as much as possible, as the max time we waste between a CoC cooldown end and a crit is just below the time taken between crits. (Assume you crit just before CoC is off cooldown and no spell is triggered. The next trigger will happen on the next crit, so that should preferably happen soon). Is that right? Does this mean that any tuning of aps vs CoC cooldown is moot if you cannot be slower than 6 aps and you should simply maximize your aps for max damage? May your maps be bountiful, exile

the optimum aps is 7.5 that is the number to hit or close to it for maxium dps
+ i dont see ANY cooldown on belt or boot's which you need for that aps or your just not reaching maxium potential IGN ARROWUPYOURAZZ

Hey guy, I am dual wielding with a Harpy foil on offhand. Should I aim for 7.5 aps or 15 aps for my case? 15 aps is pretty hard to archieve though.

" Hey! With Starkonja's and a 14% Cospri I would be at about 8 APS if I unspec the 5% AS node (which is a travelling node, so I can't really test it now). So I guess I need a slower Cospri. Can't seem to craft a nice belt :( I must be dense, don't understand how 7.5 APS can be the optimum even with a 14% cooldown: No cooldown means CoC can trigger 6.06 times per second, so 6 APS would be great. If we get 14% better cooldown, how can 25% more APS (6 -> 7.5) be the right value? But then the whole calculation seems to require some arcane knowledge I don't have: My Cospri's says it has 1.82 APS. So with the 300% speed of cyclone, I would expect 5.46 APS. Add 15% from tree and Starkonja's and I get to 6.279 APS. But my char details say 8.4, which is way more. WTF is going on? What am I missing? May your maps be bountiful, exile
