Ever worth getting a 6l chest? Or just go 5l and big ES..

6L chest is not really making a difference versus a 5L. If you have a 6L chest in 6th slot you can socket HoI to proliferate faster the curse (Enfeeble/Frostbite) but that is just a tiny QoL improvment.

So NO, 6L chest is not mandatory at all.

This is another motive why this build is so great and fun to play, no need for 6-links anywhere in our gear.

Guys, how does one face tank Minotaur in this build. I tried with a corrupted t16 map and failed miserably. besides the damage against bosses in nothing to write home about once we reach T15+.

If map have ele weakness or vulnerably + any kind of monsters damage boost ,i'm not sure we can face tank guardian like a wall

Any type of curse can be dispelled with an anti curse flask. We can tank everything in this game (Uber Elder included) depending on our ES pool and our damage output.

For added damage mods you can swap HoI with Purity of that damage element, add a elemental mitigation flask for that element(Sapphire/Ruby/Topaz) and also you can simply use The Wise Oak flask if your resistance for that damage element is lowest.

Minotaur is the easyest T16 guardian for this build (depending of map mods can be tanked even with only 8K ES), my dodging skills are pretty bad, I always facetank almost everything no matter the mods of the map.

And don't forget while in melee range ALWAYS hit bosses with Vigilant Strike so you can get Fortify up for 9 seconds, it lowers their damage by 20%, this will boost your survivability a lot.

@Dyzerrr Make your profile public so we can see you character. If you are failing with T16 bosses and your damage output for T15+ bosses is low maybe you need some gear improvement, if we can see your character maybe we can give some advices.

Yeah but all this change/adaptation doesn't make free easy face tanking i mean

When you'll reach some decent ES and DPS values you will not need to change anymore gems and use specific mitigation pots.

For example when i engage a T16 Guardian like Minotaur (same for Phoenix), i precast for 5-6 seconds IceStorms from safe range on him then Flame Dash in melee range, hit him with Vigilant Strike to get Fortify, pop all offensive flasks (Atziri Promise, The Wise Oak, Sulphur Flask (of Warding)), press Frost Bomb, Vaal Discipline and Vaal Righthouse Fire and just melt him in seconds. I can also pop a Basalt flask to mitigate some physical damage if needed.

What is better, considering you have 2 6S 5L Whispering ice?

Clearing staff:

WO-CwC-ELeech-GMP-CD +Spell Cascade or
WO-Cwc-GMP-CD-cold pen + Cascade or
Wo-cwc-GMP-CE-cold pen + cascade?? I think you got my doubt

Boss staff:
Wo-Cwc-ELeech-2 gems(which ones?) + CEffect

Thanks
PS: I'm glad spell cascade is back

My setups:

Clearing staff :
WO-CWC-GMP-ColdPen-CD + Spell Cascade.

Boss stuff:
WO (low level one)-CWC + EF + CE + ColdPen + Energy Leech. Can switch Energy Leech with CD for even higher DPS if boss is stationary.

Reasons I don't use more than 2 or max 3 link WO setup in boss stuff.
At endgame my only source of mana gain will be 0.6% mana leech on kill enchant from lab + some mana regen from tree and if possible from jewlery.

When fighting targets like Uber Elder, Aul, Shaper or even T16 Shaper/Elder Guardians with no adds or low number of adds spawns and if you throw also a Purity gem instead of HoI your unreserved mana will be under 100 so you don't want to run out of mana while channeling a 5link WO for example. Icestorm DPS from boss staff set-up is way higher than a 5l WO setup, so WO damage is not so important when fighting bosses.

So a 2link WO-CWC or max 3link WO-CwC-Energy Leech (to get some leech when you can't re-position fast your Icestorms on moving boss) is enough in boss staff set-up.

Thanks for the tip! What is your hideout tooltip dps? Think I have a long way to go to reach this level

Around 11.5K for Icestorm in boss staff.
Yeah face tanking is not really an option without micromanaging flasks for each guardian fight. That being said, phoenix is easy to kite and minotaur goes down fast. The biggest issues I had so far ... hydra (by the time you see her pop up after the phase and lay down some icestorm... you better have flasks to run away)

And chimera... what can i say about this dude...

1. i can't see the smoke. it's blackish not grey and all over the map. Wasted 5 portals only on the smoke phases trying to find chimera. basalt flask up, no dice,

Haven't tried to run chimera without BR gem, maybe that would help.

Anyway, almost 1,8k int, dmg is shitty in t15+ but survivability is ok with watcher's eye ES on hit.

The build is doable but certainly not nearly as close to what it used to be. I honestly don't see myself doing uber elder with this. The eradicator alone is probably gonna ruin a whole xp bar..

And the elder slow... one bad line of balls and that's it. The leech just isn't the same even with 2 clusters, ghost reaver, and es on hit.

WI unfortunately needs mobility now which is something it will never have. It's still fun and amazing if you want to delve deep. But the further long you take it into end game content, the more currency you have to sink in it.

Important: Before making a commitment to the build I strongly suggest to read the flask section. There's certain content in the game that you just won't do without swapping 3-4 flasks accordingly and maybe putting in purities and stuff.

I personally try to avoid anything that makes me switch gems/flasks/purities because it slows the game a lot.

PS: for atziri swap out WO and CWC and put in Unleash+ smth else (EF). Turn off the herald and you're good to go. You can still use CWC setup up until Atziri herself. Did it today, deathless, no scary moments no nothing.

How does this build fare in the Hall of the Grandmasters?

It does very well. I cleared it out last league before I had my endgame gear.
