Hey Alayron! Nice to see you!

As you may know, I've played that Slow Mo Witch in Delve and I've made it pretty far, I think. Brought it on lvl 91 with less than 100 Deaths (in like six or seven weeks) and I loved the playstyle. Not sure about playing her in Betrayal again, but if there is no other option (like an easy-as-this-one-here) maybe I will. Hope you will update your Lootfilter for 3.5!
I do remember! I remember laughing at the title of your character too :). Don't feel like you have to play this again, but it'd be awesome to have your feedback again too. This expansion is going to be great so make sure you pick who you actually want to play.

Both loot filters will be updated as soon as this link shows POE's Default filter as 3.5. It'll likely be the first day of 3.5's release. I'll be updating them as soon as life lets me that day.

Thanks for the message and encouragement. (I'll be making an RF/BV guide under the Chieftain builds if you're looking for a change to. All my builds will have the same "easy to play" idea.)

I really want to give this build a try as my SSF starter. However, the need for two threshold jewels is a concern, especially as I don't want to mule another character to act V just to grab the second Violent Dead.

Don't let the mention of two Violent Deads put you off from the build! It's a "nice to have" thing, not a "MUST HAVE" thing for sure.

I tried this build for the first time for the final three weeks of Delve (after a 3+ year hiatus from the game) and only had one jewel. I had zero issues, but only made it as far as low tier maps before the league ended. I bet I died less than 5 times from level 1-78. You can see my character on my profile if you like, as a reference.

I'll be sticking with this build as my Betrayal opener for sure, and if I get to the point of feeling any kind of pinch due to missing a second jewel, getting a second character to Act 5 is still more efficient than waiting on RNG to drop one. (Or if you prefer to trade, I can't imagine it would be that hard to get your hands on a second jewel. I just prefer not to trade.)
Ya, good response! I wish I noticed your response before I responded. (I didn't mean to step on your toes.) 2 Violent Dead jewels is most definitely a "nice to have" thing.

I'm glad you'll be playing again! I really like the build. Feel free to pass on any suggestions of course (everyone can!).

Thanks for the kind words :).

Very, cool build.

I played Necromancer when I first started. I think I got to level 86 or so.

Was thinking of playing Enki's Arc Witch in the new league but now I see this.
Going to start this tonight and see how it goes. I am playing on Xbox so I have a couple of extra days before the new league starts there.

But I might just get the PC going again to play the new league this weekend.
(I am even thinking of taking Friday off work)

The thresh hold jewels are cheap and I have had 3 drop on my current Arc Witch in the past week so, it seems it is fairly common as well. But the run to Act 5 is not that bad to get a second one.

I concur on the using SRS its nice bit of extra damage to use when starting a boss fight, Essence crystal thing, strongboxes.

Keep up the good work.
I play console too. I do league on PC with some friends and go to console when they're done with the league. It's nice to get both experiences. (Console's league will start only a couple days after PC.)

Minions have changed a lot since the "old'n days".

Ya, I need to have some suggested skills to couple with Zombies for leveling but I'm at the character max for the guide. ha ha. So I can't choose what to cut (It'll likely be the Curse Math :(.) I don't know. It's all helpful to someone...

Thanks again. If you have any questions or feedback please feel free.

@x_Pelus_x and @Kateleia

Thank you both so much! You gave me a jumping off point and that's exactly what I was looking for.

With this information, I can make my own leveling trees in POB and give myself reference guides to aim for and play the rest by ear as I go along. If I feel I need more HP and I'm strugging to find resistance gear, I will adjust here and there as necessary.

Let me ask (whomever) this, for those that played this build in Incursion - how did you do while leveling in acts/low maps with the incursions themselves? Were you able to make any headway and upgrade your rooms at all? I'm concerned for my ability to get through rooms quickly enough to find the keys, killing the architects, and opening the doors you want.

I'm used to playing arc, which has all the clear speed in the world (even as self-cast!) so it was never an issue.

Could you possibly show via screenshots or PoB where our tree should be at certain breaking points? Level 20, 40, 60 and 80, perhaps? I never know where to put skillpoints as I go and that's what disuades me/makes me feel like my character is super missing out on things while I'm leveling.

Your guide is wonderful! Thanks for all the great explanations. I love not only knowing what to use, but why.
I'm actually really tight on my character limit in the guide. I'll try to include some sort of guidance if I can (I have a couple changes to make in the guide that readers won't notice), but the tree is actually really easy to follow. So, until I add pictures, from the start of the tree, 1st: get all the nodes on the East. 2nd: all the North nodes. 3rd: (after you get Whispers of Doom) go get all the south nodes. Lastly, get the West nodes. That method will give you a good balance between offence and defense. This build's tree doesn't require any specific hopping around. It's really easy. And don't be discouraged that the tree goes to 99 or whatever. I only got to 91 (I don't think I've been higher) following the same path that I just suggested to you, and the build easily cleared the Atlas.

Feel free to ask for anything you like. We're all happy to help.
And thanks again for such kind words. I'm glad the guide is helpful.

You start off with Raise Zombies. I assume you need to use another skill to get corpses. What skills do you use for leveling?
Ya, I forgot to include Desecrate. But it'd be in your second weapon set...just something you can use if dead bodies aren't already around. I'll add it tonight in the guide. But Desecrate isn't available at the beginning of the game. I'll end up suggesting using Summon Raging Spirits to help kill your enemies until level 10 when Skeletons becomes available. But Skeletons will be one of our permanent skills so once we earn that, you won't "need" any replacement skills.

Let me know if you need anything else! (I just use the skill you are given in the tutorial until SRS is available. I'll add that to the guide too.)

What are you using to attack with to kill things to raise zombies?? I don't see any gems for attack skills.
also I read answer on previous comment saying skeletons are our primary, but you have zombies listed as the gem. Sorry kinda new and confused.

This passive tree is not bad to follow. So here is what I will be doing....As the guide does not mention which Bandits to help or kill all, I am not including these passive points...But remember this is a guide and you can do what you want as you go along...

@triniparty might level this build in a different way and have a better idea then I might as I have not played this build yet. This is just my plan I have at looking at the passive tree he has laid out for us.
Good response! (Sorry to cut it in the reply). This tree is quite easy to follow. You can't really go wrong unless you save all your life nodes to the end :). But you'll always be sacrificing one thing over another when you make a choice. It's almost foolproof :).

There's a drop down called "Quests and Gem Locations - Quick Reference" that tells you what to do with the bandits. It's also in the gem location lists.

Let me know how your tree plan goes. I'll be updating the passive tree pictures and links tonight.
