Seriously, this a true statement. I am considering playing another build because of the weakness this build has. My zombies are hitting things hard, but their survivability is just awful. This build might be fun at higher levels, but you need the patience of a saint to get there. I want to like this build, but...

Zombies need at least 1-2% life regen before they are viable, once you get those you will not have problems finishing the acts :D Shapers seed amulets are usually dirt cheap all league long and solve this problem early on.

I'm sorry you don't like the build. What level did you get to? Or Which Act? The first playthrough is always the hardest. It's SSF at its hardest. What do you have linked to your zombies?

I use SRS until I get Skeletons. I then use skeletons often until the zombies are fine on their own.

Ya, good call. Life regen is really an important factor with zombies.

I wish GGG had a small amount of natural life regen for raised minions, but it is what it is. (Nice to hear from you.) I hope you enjoy the build again this league. Let me know what you think compared to the other versions (if you're up for it).

Playing SSF I've had dreadful drops so far (typical luck for me lol), so the build was tough starting out, and certainly tougher than when I tested it SSF in standard. The Syndicate fight damage is very spikey, so I found myself not using charged dash much at all, but rather leading into the fight with skellies and the zombies following. I personally would not want to be stranding around cast SRS in some of those fights!

I've managed to get a Vaal Skellies and that's made a considerable difference in the tougher fights. It's also very much improved once you hit your second ascendancy and the zombies really come into their own.

All I need now is to farm a tabula. Ugh!

Edit: Oh, and I would not want to try this build in Hardcore. I think in the early stages the damage is just too rippy.

Hi triniparty :) Well I was happy that the build managed to survive the mandatory nerfhammer attack at the patch notes, because i really like it :D You have restructured the guide quite nicely, even added a much needed noobie section (i guess that will grow over time and patches) The staff/skeleton variation is very intriguing, i am wondering how dramatic will the dps impact be. Those vaal skeletons are real beasts :D

For people having difficulties with the syndicate, I strongly suggest checking out my post on the first page of this thread. Make two +1 fire wands, so you can have a Totem for Summon Raging Spirits as well as self-cast. That combo has gotten me through all the fights - like my first blood altar - when all my zombies were instantly killed.

This is really great advice! I'm beyond that stage now thankfully, but definitely try this if you are just starting out with the build.

And after moaning about poor SSF drops this just landed for me. :D

I have finished the Righteous Fire Build that everyone voted on in 3.4. Don't stop playing this one, just play both ;-). Just kidding. I have been playing the RF/BV build on console and love it. Chieftain is perfect for it. Anyway, just FYI. I don't mean to take distract from the zombie subject.
