How Atlas Objectives Work

Zana should have the maps you need for sale each day (white maps 2c, yellow 4c, red 8c, t15+ 16c) . Problem would be solved!

Daylies should be free and non sellable or you could just make the masters open up the portals to the maps they occupie.

Of course this should also be around the higher tiers if you are running higher tiers and not like befor where it stopped being fun once you went past lvl 75...
to summarize this thread:

- <15 challenges people complain about map drops
- everyone else is ok with it

there may be a pattern related to knowing how to roll maps, how to play efficiently, have a guild or friends to trade with and play more than two hours a week.

but i agree, a trading system for consumables would be great (such as currency, maps). i have butt loads of maps, but i won't spend the time to trade for alchs or a few chaos. in the time it takes some people to load my empty hideout, i can be half-way done with another map.
Nice :)
Wait. They are bringing back Bestiary content?

Okay? Neat I guess for those who are already good at this sort of thing.
I still find maps boring and have no understanding of what to be doing or how to make any real sense of progress at endgame. Maps already make no sense and the game does nothing to make the goals of mapping clear to the player. Making a new character playing the story and for the septeen-hundredth time to get to endgame is unrewarding when endgame makes no sense. I also feel like having an endless/mapping mode available from level 1 for those who have finished the story at least once would be great but maybe im the only one who feels this way.

New leagues are cool, but they have kind of just felt like additional endgame map content that just stacks on top of an endgame that already isn't very clear to begin with. Right now it's super unclear how I'm supposed to even work towards stuff like that. I've read that stuff like that is meant to be achievable by a very small percentage of the playerbase due to difficulty but I feel like the difficulty barrier is in understanding HOW to access them rather than the difficulty of the enemies/bosses themselves. Was map progression and finding guardians/shaper etc better explained in a league past or something? Mapping has thus far been stale, boring, and unfulfilling to me for these reasons.

I love getting re-worked and new skills/supports and Im confused as to why they have to get held back for new leagues to be released. Currently the only enjoyment Ive been getting out of each new league is new skills and supports to build with. I'm looking super forward to the steel moves, the banner, and the ice orb for this coming up league :)

When is a real pvp mode coming out? The april fools battle royale was easily the most fun I've had in this game. I've read stories about other pvp style leagues/races/side events that happened in years passed (not sure if true or not) that id missed out on that sounded like they would have been super fun. If this is true it's a shame I joined too late to miss these things.

Maps at the most could be classified as early endgame. True, they are used in late endgame, but “mapping” in its traditional sense is more the second of three phases to the game. I’m not sure why you consider it difficult. There is a Zana quest to show you how to use maps, and from there it is pretty self explanatory what you do: Place a map in the map device, and when a map of a higher tier drops, run that one. Use currencies to upgrade maps and increase the drops inside. If you are interested in the lore behind everything, that is a bit more hidden. In any case, mapping is designed to be experienced by anyone who plays the game, as leveling only takes so much time; the slowest players could do it in 20 hours with no outside help.

New leagues are designed for veteran players. They introduce races and new content/play styles to keep them engaged. Plus, it is how GGG upgrades their game. New skills and such are still being tweaked, that’s why GGG won’t release them yet. Do you think GGG posts all these updates on the forums for the 95% negative criticism that doesn’t at all reflect how the majority of players feel? Nope. They use it to understand how things need to be tweaked.

For example, many people here are concerned with not having the maps masters drop on. Well, a simple solution would be to have Zana sell all the daily master maps while still forcing you to reserve maps other masters could drop on. There is a concern about masters appearing on a low tier map because you happened to run a T5 when you normally run T12. GGG could then take an average of the past several maps you’ve run to have masters on, increasing the pool size as you run more maps in order to not have masters always appearing below your current tier.

For the most part we only have a partial idea what things will be like until the patch notes are released. And even then until launch day. And more so GGG will tweak league mechanics based off player input. Delve mines used to be separate per character but now the same per account.

I think generating maps overall won’t be as difficult as people fear. Both Incursion and Delve offered “free” ways to have maps drop, and we’ll have access to both of them.

As far as SCARABS, they are not a currency (see Chris reddit post). Since we use them in some way, I suspect they are either a fragment of some sort or something completely new (I.e. currency, fragments, essences, scarab, etc.).
