My concern is with how/where the masters will appear with the daily reset. In particular with Alva/Incursions. Once I am running T14-T16, I will have zero interest in running a T7 Temple. My hope is that Alva/Masters in general will appear where you are mapping. I.e., if the last ten maps I ran averaged T14, they will show up at +/- 1 Tier (anywhere on a map between T13 and T15)

If they show up randomly, I think this will kill Incursions in particular. Bestiary Ilvl mobs are of course also affected, and sulphite gains, too... but Incursions will be the most affected I think.



That said, GGG has been freaking amazing at predicting player wants/needs, and meeting our expectations, so hopefully this wont be an issue.

But to be honest... Who did the current masters just for the items? O.o They were all capped aroung level 70 something... But it would be nice if you could at least have the chance so make the map a couple tiers higher for a reasonable price (6 CO is to much for a lot of people to raise it by 5 tiers and keep going on with it...).

So going back to my first problem about the maps it would be nice if you could make the first run of the atlas with the masters per day a free run. Or make it so we can pay for the access right out from the map device without the possibility to buy those maps from the market. Else the prices will skyrocket for maps if you dont make them accessable easyer and destroy the economy since everyone will sit on his map pool until someone in need will come around the corner.

The former masters were merely for crafting, true. But, the new master system is two fold: introduce these league mechanics into core, and engage in crafting.

If the masters dont show up in tiers of maps that are relevant to your game play level, they may as well not exist beyond crafting, and those league mechanics are dead. Which is a damn shame since 2 of them are arguably the best league mechanics ever produced.

Sounds amazing. For a casual player like me, doing a few incursions, delves and beast hunts is pretty much a days gaming, so standard league will seem like a new league altogether.
Currently because we re-level masters every league, we continue to gather favour with them. I honestly don’t know if I’m even on the mark here, but since master levels are account wide, will we reach a favour cap? I’m sure that isn’t GGG’s intent, but I’d hate to be unable to finish a hideout because I was unable to gather more favour.

Also, to all those whining and complaining about “advantages” or “masters.” From 3.5 onwards masters will do one thing and one thing only: provide favour in order to purchase hideout decorations. Your hideout(s) will remain through every league. The dev’s feel it’s acceptable to transfer past progress when possible because all you do is unlock cosmetic decorations. Crafting will no more be tied to masters.

I presume it’s a Diablo pun. That’s more or less how Diablo treats new seasons.
