Skill Reveal: Lancing Steel and Shattering Steel

I would have liked to see the shattering/impale as a rework/support for EK. This skill needs some love.

I don't understand this decision. Either the new skills suck. or they are great and there is no reason to ever play EK again, because every old EK build would work using the new skills with minor modifications and would get better leech and better scaling than EK.

I see that this was probably the reason to not allow daggers even though they would fit perfectly the theme. it would be literally thrown daggers. Like EK.

Also, this was probably the best chance of having an interaction with/rework of bleeding. Impale should also increase bleeding damage. or bleeding stacks increase the damage of impale (or impale could consume a bleed stack so that the bleed is converted into phys-impale damage)
This is very cool I like the idea of skill behavior changing based on how far you aim
Has anyone said how Impale interacts with poison? Can the impale "bursts" poison, along with the initial hit?

As for the main difference between the skills, it sounds like Lancing Steel is a melee attack that fires also fire projectiles, kida like frost blades, while Shattering Steel is just projectiles.
Wu Tang sword techniques
Very nice
Meh. A larger AOE cleave that is harder to scale. And a longer Air variant of sunder that will be harder to scale lol.
How does the skill scale? I'm wondering if those skills would be a damage upgrade to ngamahu cyclone builds by trading survivability in the chest cyclone links for cyclone CoC lancing steel.

In theory you'd have less survivavility, but more clear speed, aoe and even single target dmg.

Is my assumption wrong? Ngamahu ballz scale on projectile too so you could "double dip" your scaling of lancing steel + ngamahu baals procing from cyclone.

[EDIT] If those skills are attacks... they can't be supported with CoC though. So I'm really wondering the specifics.

cool so far it looks like you would need chain and gmp maybe though to feel decent in mapping
Don't want EK look alikes, I want MELEE!!!!
"Don't Tread on Me"
I'm just here wondering... Why isn't Lancing Steel a channeled skill?
I think it would look hella cooler, and it'd make it stand off more so as to its counterpart, not just that, it would add to 2 the number of melee channeled skills!
hell ye brother
oooooooooooooooooooooooo
