Delve Gem Information

So many multi-hit mechanisms here. I foresee Life Gain on Hit would be of great popularity.
Two-handed - Mop
Dual Wield - Slippers
One-handed & Shield (close combat) - Brush & Basin
One-handed & Shield (ranged) - Hair Dryer & Mirror
Main-hand & Off-hand (evil witch) - Sponge & Soap
Smite with 19% chance to shock ? Nonononono ! Needs 20% chance, please Bex ! Do it ! :D

Yeah, the unfortunate side-effects of playing minion builds, is a strong feeling of curiosity. I'm curious how much damage my skill does right now.
Please give us minion stats for new minion skills. Its impossible to plan builds with dom blow or herald of purity without these stats. It would be really nice if minion skills in general stated the values on the gem... we shouldn't have to go to the wiki page to know how much damage our minions are capable of

Edit: Forgot to complain about not having stats for holy relics as well

Incorrect. It applies a debuff that lasts for one second (base) on hit. If the target dies with the debuff it s corpse will be consumed and a minion will be created that lasts for 20 seconds (base)

Invulnerable minion that deals more damage than some resolute technique melee player characters.

Interesting design. Id like to hear one reason why not to use it in every leveling build out there

How are you calling this a nerf? its automated DPS that only needs to be refreshed every 4 seconds, stick it in a Innervate support 5L helm, you can literally tag something with no link smite (extra lightning damage) tag something with Static strike and then Static Strike, Charged Dash or Lightning Strike around with automated DPS supplementing your main skill for 7 seconds at a time with duration nodes.

Its basically Mirage Archer for melee except it will leech and LGoH to you. I can think of a ton of things to do with a 4 second automated melee attack.


I've been using static strike exhaustively in incursion. Below is my two cents:

- Much weaker area of effect: previously explosion hits everything, the reworked skill caps under 12 hits on 6 targets per second
- Much weaker area damage: previsously only 40% less
- Less Single attack: 140+% vs previously 159+%
- Less DPS: let's say a char has 10 APS, existing static strike can give 20 APS (Single + AoE). The reworked static strike can only provide 12 APS on single target (10 + 2).
- rework = existing static strike - AoE + tempest shield ? Since you can't use stat stick with static strike

Two upsides I can see from the rework gem:
- 10% increased in shock chance: does this impact a lot with 10 APS ?
- removal of the lag between hit and explosion. This might give a smoother game plan. But not sure whether this can justify all the downsides from above tho.

But I could be wrong... We will see in Delve :)
