3.7 In-Depth Ice Golems Guide - Snowybois - On Hiatus for 3.8

Correct, you shouldn't use Hatred without generosity with cyclone and EE. You can either run cyclone with pure phys, use hatred and not EE, or run hatred with generosity.
Hi guys,
i got an astral plate with +Maim and decent stats (life mana res...)

Do you think is better LOTL for +1skills or mine with maim (so + rithless)?

Thanks
If you dont mind, what are the pros and cons for ice golems vs flame golems?
Love the build.

Got my bow quite early season so decided to follow that path and skip clayshaper and vic shield. My bow coloring was pain in ... but finally got 3r 2g 1b. Decided to use impale which works (i guess) nicely with banner.

Maloney seems nice, but my 4ex budget is not quite there yet. Also I haven't multimoded my bow yet, so maybe I just focus bow first. Unless I get nice tips from you guys :)

Btw, I've been looking closely my ice golems having fun with enemies. I can see ice spears quite a lot. I thought 7 harmonies should allow golems to cyclone with multistrike all the time, but maybe I was wrong? Or am I missing something?

Thanks in advance and golems ftw!

flame golems:

- completely immune to reflect

- slightly (not much) better clearspeed in OPEN maps due to aoe barrage fireballs.

- potentially higher single target dmg in a perfect scenario (if they only shoot their fireballs and they shotgun, usually never happens tho).

- tons of screen clutter

- AI can be fucky when pathing through hallways etc, u generally have to use convocation more to reposition them aka more maintenance playstyle

ice golems:

- die to phys reflect if u dont change set up

- way better clearspeed in meta maps (which are indoors usually) because they run to their targets

- more effective as a frontline due to melee, also can make use of taunt/blind jewels

- higher effective single target dmg usually, as i said, flame only outperform in theory

- overall more relaxed playstyle with less screen clutter. you dont have to use convocation much because they will run to their target even through hallways most of the time

I hope OP uploads a vid of a T15/16 legion this weekend, im itching to go back to ice golems if i know they can clear legions well !!

I... I got kind of distracted with my tree chasing a new toy for everyone... i will try to get back to a place where I can upload a video and tree update once I'm done with the surprise but I'm ridiculously currency starved atm.

I may need someone to call gambler's anon for me.

TL:DR if you want to play this build in standard, these new gems replace the Chayuli's we can't wear.

A set up I am liking a lot for mapping atm is Cyclone - Cast While Channeling - Vulnerability - Flesh Offering.

Then I run the Shield Charge - Faster Attack - Fortify on another link.

Being able to Vulnerability every thing during Legion encounter makes it so much easier for the golems to break everything out.

I also tried Flame Golem out and its map clear speed feels worse than my Ice Golem set up, especially on the downtime on high hp bosses. For people having clear speed problem with Ice Golem, it might be because you are using Ruthless.

Any1 else run pob with this, chilled turned on, and hit by fire dmg.

Been in a search for this for a while now, im getting about half a mil cyclone dmg in my pob with victario chest as well as extra golem :D

Hey first of all loving that build. Been the first time I play a golem build and I kind of really enjoy it over the normal summoner style.

Now, I have a few questions for starters. I play this build in HC league so:

At level 80 I have 4k HP and 1.3k mana. I still feel pretty squishy though. How far can I progress with that amount of effective HP?

Ice golems have quite some issue with legion encounters. I can´t clear the full legion rift (trying to do the 150 achievement). Any way how I can improve that? I do run melee splash atm because I don´t have empower yet.

If I run essence worm with hatred I don´t run EE right? Cause my attacks get cold dmg added so that would be counter productive I think.

For merc lab and uber lab are there any useful ascendencies?

Thanks for the nice guide! really liking it so far.

Also we do not run a chaos golem right? cause I was thinking that you get damage through different type of golems, so wouldn´t a chaos make sense if you have a lot of harmony jewels?

Correct if you're MoM+Essence Worm don't run EE, some people who want to keep the damage from EE run lightning golem or fire golem in a malachai's ring to proc their EE for them.

I personally when i run the clayshaper setups am using a 6/1/1/1 setup with chaos/stone/elemental either fire or lightning. The added phys damage reduction from the chaos golem is relevant even though he's kind of a pain to keep alive.
