So I've been experimenting with Cooldown Recovery Speed (CDR). Reaching 27% is quite easy and this gives you 5 attacks per second (up from 3.75 with no CDR).



The second obstacle is to actually increase your attack speed up to 5 attacks per second. Turns out this isn't very hard either. I got gloves with 15% Increased attack speed and 16% More attack speed and put Frenzy in them. Coupled with an Onslaught jewel and I'm at 5 APS...


POB gives around 30% increase in DPS and ES leech rate, compared to my old setup. My gear is no way near optimized but I will stick to this. I haven't tried it out much yet but it feels good.

there is so many aura setups you can do with this build.
depends on your blood magic/enlighten levels and helm enc
90% mana multiplier for helemt is really good as well
also u can get 1% less mana reserved on corrupt jewels
you can run:
blood magic disc-purity of elements(or swap pur of elements for ice fire lightning

arctic armour/wrath/herald of lightning/aspect of spider
or you can run blasphemy and make elemental weakness/temp chains into auras
just depends what you doing delve? uber elder or catarina?
uber elder pur of ice/arctic armor helps alot with the phys dmg/ ice
catarina purity of fire/ arctic armor same reasons.
just edit to what you need want based on what you are doing.

Currently running this build, and it's going fairly well. Pretty much done with gearing. I opted for the 6 auras (Herald, arctic armour, wrath, discipline, spider aura, purity of elements). To be honest its not that much better than the 5 aura version with no spider aura, but thats just my opinion.


In order to run all the auras I found you need the reduced mana reservation for arctic armour helmet enchant.

You took castspeed nodes in the witch start area instead of the spellpower ones - in case you missed that. :)

Currently iam using the 6 auras disciple, wrath, herald of thunder, purity of elements, arctic armour and the aspect of spider. This is possible by an enlighten 4 + blood magic lvl 21 gem together with an arctic armour enchant.
For curses i use ele weakness, enfeeble (curse on hit on a 6l Frenzy setup) togheter with warlords mark on hit from the ring.
I like this setup and want to improve it further.

A few upgrades would be getting cooldown boots and raise your attack speed accordingly. Unnatural instinct is a great option with a few more levels.

More expensive options are getting ele pen poets pens and triple crit multi jewels.

How much cdr on boots will make an impact?

And how much atk speed is optimal without cdr? 3,78 hits/sec?

Are there other/better options for gloves?
Like fingerless silk gloves with additional ele dmg and more ES?

Without cooldown,yes, you should aim for around 3.75. Cdr makes a pretty big impact. You go from 3.75 poet's pen procs per second to around 4.25 with 1 cdr item.

For gloves I would always use Atziri's acuity. I'm really surprised that not many people use them. You would become addicted to vaal pact leech. Right now with craft benches you can surely craft some really nice damage ES rare gloves with many bench damage mods if you want to invest into it.

This is/was my setup with atziri's acuity. Did everything I wanted with this setup and really enjoyed the gameplay but time to sell and move on to the next build.

Which upgrade will have a bigger impact?
UI or the vaal gloves?

I would guess 17 ex investment might be a reason, making it far more expensive than the rest of the items combined?
