Yes to Aislin in research, and yes you can remove the mod and try again if you don't get the double. You'd definitely want to block something, and it's dependent on what you need out of it. I'd watch some crafting tutorial videos as I'm certainly not a pro.

I put Enlighten 4 into my gloves, but I have almost 0 mana left with arctic armour on. What am I doing wrong?

You need a helm enchant to reduce mana reservation for arctic armor or herald of thunder. Need to decide if you want to run aspect of spider or arctic armor until you get the enchant. From what I've been told since I was in the same dilemma, best to go with artic armor and run shaper ring for more dps. Unless you dont have the discipline watcher's eye (i forgot to check), then you don't run arctic armor.

I am trying to figure out why my PoB is so low compared to the OP pastebin. My gear is very similar, well not quite as amazing, but my PoB only shows ~300k arc whereas the OP PoB from 3.5 league is at almost 2 million. I checked everything and I can't figure it out. It also seems like Op attacks WAY faster than me, despite seeing so difference in gear that would cause that. Can anyone help me out here?

The biggest difference I see is the Op cast rate for Arc is 3.81 whereas in my PoB it is 1.64. How come that is the case?

But I feel like I am still doing a ton of damage, I'm melting everything so far including red elder, haven't got uber elder to spawn yet to try it with this. So it is even more confusing, which leads me to be believe my PoB is misconfigured but I have checked that shit like 40 times so far.

EDIT: I figured it out. The vertex in OP's pastebin has 170% increased cast speed.

For attack speed add quality on frenzy and supports. Also you should count frenzy in your final attack speed, since you don't want to go higher than around 3.80ish iirc, at least without cooldown reduction. (if you don't have it ticked off.)

You can use Conqueror's Efficiency https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Conqueror%27s_Efficiency to gain 2% reduced reservation, may be enough to let you cast spells with everything on depending on the size of your mana pool. Does mean givng up a jewel socket, but it's an option.

I'm sorry if I missed the answer to this but:

I can't afford an extra Poet's Pens right now, do you recommend changing the sockets on my off-hand from GBR to GBB every time I go bossing? Or is there something I could run instead of Lightning pen in a red socket that wouldn't hurt my dps by a LOT?
