Hey guys, how are you doing. New to summoners, greatly enjoying the build. Can someone teach me or point out where can I read about Animated Guardian, how does it work and how do we use it in our build?

Are you talking about in PoB? Does PoB calculate the reduced effectiveness of the curses? I'd have to check later when I get home.

Regarding your calculation, that doesn't seem right. A level 20 Conductivity reduces end-game boss lightning res by an additional 15%, but that doesn't exactly mean it's a 15% more multiplier for damage unless their resistance is reduced below 0. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure I'm right. It is more damage, but I don't think it's quite 15% more.

If it is, I would still want to know what you were giving up for that extra curse and that extra damage. It's not like running a 6th support gem (40% more, ish). But what are you giving up on the skill tree to get to Whispers of Doom? Is it really a 15% increase if you're allocating those points from somewhere else? Could those 3 or 4 points do more for you if they were allocated elsewhere?

I'm not saying running a 2nd curse is wrong, but I do feel like the ROI is not worthwhile.

What are you asking about specifically? If you're talking about anointments, Ravenous Horde is the go-to.


can someone help me please? this is my first time playing necromancer.
I feel i cant progress anymore beyond tier 10. mobs kill me and my spetre dies too.
I have a tabula but cant use it due to resistance. Any good convoking wand is selling at 2 ex but 3 chaos is all i have.

How do i start fixing my build? or is my playstyle wrong?
Anyone running the PoH Variant that can report back on how things are going? I am currently holding onto my currency before I can decide what direction I want to go with it... My Spectres are getting killed in T1 Metamorph fights which seems crazy... I don't recall my spectres ever dying this early in previous leagues.

your equipment is pretty basic. you need to famr currency and upgrade it. Get a plus+1 level of all minion gems wand with decent minion damage. get boots with +1 spectres and get +1 Spectres on your body armor. And a lvl 21 Spectres Gem to have more dps and 7k life pool. This game is about grinding, get 2-3 Exalted orbs and read this guide careful and learn how to craft! the sections here helped me pretty goode!

But first of all: Get a Tabula and 6-link your spectres. I dont know how you are doing yellow maps like this???

I swaped yesterday, but i was able to kill T15 with one hand too, so clearly you are doing something wrong, you character is closed so cant tell what is it.

Anyway, PoH feels much smoother, and there is clear defence mechanism that works, i really love it.

Hey guys,

can confirm that this fight is currently impossible for slave driver Spectre necros. They appear to view the storms as enemies and run charging into them committing suicide.

I'm not sure what happens when you use ranged spectres, but supportive spectres seem to be less prone to running int the storms and keep more to your side.

So for now, if you want to kill the awakener you need to run skellies/zombies and only use spectres as buffers.

GGG either needs to fix the minion ai that they try to evade stuff like the storms, which they won't as otherwise they would've already designed them so. Or they need to fix the dmg on minions and reduce storm dmg taken by minions by 80% or so.

The rest of the fight is kinda buggy/f'ed as well since the storm movement can completely block your entrance and the dmg radius is bigger than the graphical radius.

Here's hoping to a fix soon otherwise no one can run spectre mainlinks which would suck.

Also, you can run red maps pretty easy on a 4link spectre setup. If you get wraithlord and bones boots you can reach lvl25 spectres on that 4link.
