as long as your mana pool allows you to do so, you can try.
enfeeble on hit corruption is also a very good defensive mod to have on gloves and you can put elemental weakness on cwdt.
personally, the best combination that I've found is running wrath, discipline, enlighten and empower all linked together, with enough resistances to hit the cap on gear; with wrath you can also get a watcher's eye with lightning damage or penetration while affected by wrath.
if you want to go deep delving instead (I'm talking of depth 400-500 and above) going dual curse linked with blasphemy (enfeeble and temporal chains) is the best defensive option since mobs will hit very hard there.
Hi, just popped in to see what's going on in Delve, and I have to say, Giammafix, thank you very much for helping others out in the thread in my absence, you're doing a terrific job.

I'm out of the loop with the fossil crafting system or new uniques/gems etc., so if you have any suggestions on updating the build in any way I'll gladly go with your experience :)

you don't need at all an es gain on hit watcher's eye, I never got one in this league.
increased recovery with discipline is a good improvement for survivability, and maximum mana gained as es with clarity is even better, you're going to lose that recovery but will gain more energy shield

thanks Bristoling! your build is great, I've started the league with it and also finished all the content and 36 challenges!
I didn't compare dps and survivability with the juggernaut, but since MS Juggernaut has become meta this league, the Occultist is pretty similar but cheaper to gear.
nothing has changed for this build in 3.4 (same skill tree and points, just have to adjust the templar section).
some updates for this league:
- I didn't find any new unique which might be useful, but other people could have (I didn't find new variants on poeninja builds either)
- it's easier to get a mirrored helmet with 3 projectiles and good energy shield or intelligence, thanks to the fractured fossils which allow to create a copy of an enchanted helmet with new "custom" random rolls
- for delving in the deepest levels (past 350-400) some people prefer a safer setup, running dual curse on blasphemy with enfeeble and temporal chains, because mobs will beat very hard at those depths.
- A new powerful mod introduced with delve crafting is "nearby enemies have -9% to fire/cold/lightning resistance". The lightning version is obviously what we're looking for, and it offers a great dps boost, almost like running an additional lightning damage aura. A high ES helmet with this mod will outclass an helmet with high intelligence in terms of dps.

Also i swapped culling strike into movement setup,since 20%quality gives more as for whirling blades,can be an option too
For bossing im going to assume you want a ES on hit jewel over a clarity extra ES one? I dont see how you leech/heal if you dont have a ES on hit eye tbh.

For bossing isn't necessary an ES on hit or a recovery jewel; sure, they give you extra sustain which is always good, but not mandatory at all.
And as the author said, the best option (and also much expensive) is still the clarity ES watcher's eye, which lets you swap discipline for clarity and have an extra aura and more energy shield.
The skill tree takes the points to vitality void (included) along with life and mana leech node, and of course vaal pact and ghost reaver.
the ES on hit jewel might allow you to do "cannot leech" maps going with a mana flask, but I never tried so I don't know if it's going to work at the highest tiers
