I do some change for better sustain and not to much less DPS. (Hybrid Version)
Ofc it's not still build to killing end game bosses! I cannot understand how you sustain RF. in MAP you use mobs deaths and ascendancy but in bosses? with just one monster what do you use for sustain the RF? Ty and sorry my english

I'm level 98 on SSF.
Here are my tips. I haven't not really die to anything besides my stupidity from levels 93 to 98. My Resist before activating Flask: Fire 90% Cold 110% Light 90% Chaos 71% (You want at least 60% chaos) My Flask Setup: --------------- You want to active flask 2,3,4,5 before going into monster pack. Press 1 to active the Dousing Life flask if you need to turn off RF to loot or there was too much degen of RF. Not having the Dousing Life flask makes this build too stressful for me. Bubbling Divine Flask of Dousing Chemist's Basalt Flask of Heat Alchemist's Quicksilver Flask of Adrenaline Chemist's Ruby Flask of Staunching Chemist's Topaz Flask of Warding Instead of a Topaz/Sapphire Flask, can you use a Granite Flask earlier in the game. Note: you don't need Poison Removing mod really because you have Life Flask of Dousing and Boots that offer Life Regen. Gear: ------ ** You need a Shaped Chest with the mod "Recovery % ES on Kill" Chest - You need a Energy Shield Shaped Chest and roll the mod "Recovery % ES on Kill" If you are on SSF, You can chaos roll for the mod any ES Chest. Save them Chaos for this purpose or do the chaos recipe. So far I only had a Shaper Vaal Regalia drop only once playing to level 98 thus far. So just roll any ES Shaped Chest until then. I was playing with 1500 Life and 5000 ES just fine with the Shaper Mod. For Boots: Look for a Sorcerer Boot's with about 100 ES and 25+ Movement Speed. Before you switch to ES, you will want to run Cruel Lab as many times (took me 10+ or almost an hour) to get this mod. Boot's need most "% of damage leeched as Life and Mana if you Killed Recently" This will help recover your Life from Poison and Chaos damage. For Boss Fight: --------------- Once you have your Vaal Discipline linked with Increased Duration plus Potency of Will Skill Point, you will get 6.6 Seconds of Vaal Discipline and Vaal Righteous Fire. So for Boss Fight 1) enter arena, press 1 to turn off RF 2) portal out if you need to recharge your flasks 2) Drop the Orb of Storm which is linked to another Curse and Increased Crit 3) Pop Vaal Discipline first then Pop Vaal Righteous Fire 4) Activate Righteous Fire again 5) Shield Charge the Boss to proc EE and for Life Gain on Hit The boss should die within the 6.6 seconds of your Vaal Discipline and Vaal RF. Press 1 to turn off RF if you need to loot. For boss with multiple phases, you just have to port out or press 1 to turn off RF to recharge. Some boss on the T13+ that are multiple phases are too hard to do. Skip it. Maps to Shape and getting Fragments: It will take a bit to get these fragments. Drag Elder Through these Maps and Shape these Maps 1) Tier 10 Plateau -> shape City Square 2) Tier 11 Blog -> shape Wharf 3) Tier 12 Arsenal -> shape Toxic Sewer 4) Tier 13 Shrine -> shape Mud Geyser 5) Tier 14 Courthouse -> shape Scriptorium If you keep Elder and Shape on the lower half of the Atlas, you can run the above shaped maps endlessly. Run the Temple and Delve into Cities to help sustain. Also when you are geared, you can chisel and corrupt Mud Geyser and Scriptorium. The only mod I suggest not doing is No Regen. 60% less Regen is okay. Just turn off RF more often with Flask. For Delve: --------- Keep the Darkness Resistance Upgraded to 75% and Light to 150% Use the Dousing Life Flask if you need to loot after reaching Checkpoints Final Comments: --------------- This is really a great build after you get all your gear and ascendency points. You can do almost any mod. You can clean maps really fast 1-2 minutes. Don't worry about deaths as the penalty isn't that big until after level 94. played ll version to 100 in shc. quite smooth. build can easily fit some mf (2x ventor, bisco belt, greedtrap boots in my case).

I'm currently trying this build for flashback on SSF and I have a really hard time since I've started mapping (Tier 1 or 2). The leveling part was ok, but now I'm always dying and while my gear is really bad, I'm kind of stuck because I'm barely able to run content without dying too much. Any idea of what I do wrong or what I should do ? My character is QuiickyRF. I'm guessing I respec too early and with not enough ES.

The Occultist now only has a single Energy Shield based notable, with a condensed and limited version of the previous Energy Shield notables. The ability for energy shield to be uninterruptible if recovery has started recently has moved to a new Keystone found near the Witch, making the mechanic available to a broader selection of characters, though with a new downside.

I'm also curious if this build is still possible in 3.7. Will the nerf to occultist and wicked ward still allow this build to work?
Vile Bastion also got hit HARD, maxes out at 10% now instead of 30%. Patch 3.7: Vile Bastion: No longer requires any Ascendancy notables. It now grants 1% energy shield regeneration per second for each enemy you or your minions have killed recently, up to 10% (from a maximum of 30%). No longer grants +150 to maximum energy shield.
