Passage Key Drop Rates
" I've had the same experience--killing everything always results in at least one key, and on rare occasion, two. The only time I've gotten zero keys is when there are no doors to open, in which case you will never get a key. |
|
" Thats why I have gotten my total clear achieve on a round that dropped 0 keys with 2 red doors yesterday with 20 seconds or so left? And as for never getting keys when all the doors are open is false. Yesterday or the day before, I entered an incursion, all the doors were open, and guess what? I had 2 keys drop. Know your facts next time before putting stuff in italics. |

If they gave more keys, the keys would stop being at all important, and the explosive room would be an utter waste of time.

" Weird. I have never seen a key drop in a room where everything is already open, and I have always seen one in every clear where there is something to open (sometimes on the very last Rare, but sure enough, it has dropped). If it's not absolutely guaranteed to be this way, then the chance seems to be so high for both these results that my sample size of likely over 200 runs has not been large enough to encounter anything unexpected. So sure, I could be wrong, but from my experience, that's how it's been without exception. |

Yes, It NEED to be higher, I get to boss fight in like half of the time...
And explosive room is only way out some time. I can FLY!

" Been talking about this from day one... they 'claim' that keys are guaranteed to drop, but fully 1/3 of the chambers I run don't drop a key, even with 99% or more of the mobs cleared. Someone hypothesized that the 'key' drop was on the architect that was not killed... when it despawns, no key can drop. At the *very* least killing one of the architects should drop a key, mandatory. Patch Notes 3.15:
Fixed a bug where players believed the game was playable. This has been corrected and made retroactive. Patch Notes 3.19: Fixed a bug where players adapted to 3.15. This bug cannot be corrected, so we have implemented a 90% reduction in item access as a punishment. |
