Hey Bex,

Would any of the devs be able to clarify how Vaal Blight will work?

The gem description reads that 20 layers of the damaging debuff can be applied however functionally it reads as if to only apply 1 layer on each pulse with 3 pulses total.

Does this mean we can only expect to apply 3 layers of the Vaal Blight damage debuff or is there something I am missing in the mechanics that means we can channel this skill for longer to reach the 20 layers of damage similar to the normal version of Blight?

So basically, how do I corrupt a Corrupted vaal gem to get lvl 21 gem? :)

While the new vaal gems are a BIT convenient... It still remains that the vaal spells aren't as ideal (as we want to main a 21/20, which can't be Vaal) and also won't work at all for vaal auras. (since our aura gems need Enlighten, but the vaal versions instead need Increased Duration) At least it's still an improvement; hopefully things get figured out more to make things more viable.

E.g, perhaps Vaal'ing a gem might give the same 25% chance to "go vaal," but of that 25%, it'd basically do ANOTHER vaal roll to see if it could bump its level or quality. So 21/20 and 20/23 vaal gems would be a thing, but extremely rare.

I don't think so as the initial skill doesn't have a duration tag.

The new vaal skills still have quality? how it now works?

Charged Dash seems more fun than previously and may well provide a pretty unique play style. Happy to see the movement speed element of the skill gem isn't important as before.
