3. The biggest winner is gamer like you and me, since GGG has no finance pressure in the near future, we don't need to press "M" to support their finance anymore, we only keep focus on new content and enjoy the game without our own "finance pressure", so it's simple, everyone happy!!!

sorry man, but this statement is - to put it gentle - not well thought. ofc Tencent invested in GGG to get returns. if the players would stop purchasing supporter packs, GGG won´t last for long, it is that simple

I really don't see why everyone's putting up so much of a fuss...

They basically just agreed to fund them so that Path can be the best that it can, and all they want is the Chinese server.
Speaking of the Chinese version, it's already so different from the international version, what difference does it make if they were entirely controlled by Tencent?
Every change so far and any further changes in the future will only ever apply to the Chinese server, and again, the Chinese server is already so different, why is it suddenly a problem to everyone now?

When they say GGG is independent, it does not mean independently funded, it means independently run. GGG will continue to have full control of what they do and how they do it, Tencent is just giving them funding in return for something that has literally 0 relation to everyone that isn't currently in China.
Path won't change, and if it does it's not because Tencent is demanding them to (Not for the international version anyway).

The only thing that would make sense to be complaining about is the supporter packs. People were only willing to spend hundreds on a game because they thought it wasn't as rich as it now is.
Aside from that there shouldn't be anything to worry about.

How do you know? Trust me GGG is the only company i love, same as i did with blizzard from like 1994 to 2006 even tho GGG so much better. But we have expirience now, everything what is bought, its not the same. I worked in IT company for 12 years, when we were bought it went worse. They talk poker smily face more with clients, but overal you lose that "family speaking" with clients.

Btw the company who is buying GGG, richest man is behind it of chinna, who supports non human, corrupted power way. It also has 80% so when they will want, they can just change GGG direction at any time, do you realise that? GGG cant do nothing with 20%. Trust me, you will see PoE will change, p2w, more casual like diablo 3, remember my words, i am really honest here :(.

What we can do still, it is to enjoy PoE a bit, while changes will come.

I am just happy for Chris and others, they are rich now, but as for PoE, it has really many smart players, we know from experience how it all ends.. dont need to tell fairy tales..
3.15 was a joke. 3.19 was a disaster. Archnemesis/Ruthless/Crucible(Archnemesis 4.0?) - worst ideas. Ruthless is a joke, a waste of resources. PoE2(exilecon version) was super disappointing.
Chinese promises aren't like other promises... Their culture is heavily focused on social harmony, and most Chinese people will straight up lie to you to keep you happy rather than tell a truth that would lead to confrontation.
I would just like to know two things.

1. Just WHY sell majority of your shares to a Shitanese company, they are your bosses now...

2. Why not sell just 49% or something like that, to keep GGG as the major share holders?

I expect cheap league packs, and removal of supporter packs. Along with HEAVILY reduced prices on everything, since the extreme pricing no longer goes for this game after 10c became the boss.

Nothing i feel entitled to, just how it is really.
You left the indie scene, in a bad way. Hopefully the game will stay true to it's core values
and led properly by the right people.

Companies maybe, but the people itself in China are very straightforward. They say what's on their mind, without thinking to much about the consequences. Because it's in their nature, and how they are brought up probably.

Unless you count the sales people, but that's the same everywhere in the world.

Pretty much this, I still refuse to believe that the heads of GGG would be naive enough to make a business with a group of people without knowing about their culture. I refuse to believe that they'd make a deal with a Chinese company/businessperson without even knowing what the concept of "face" is for them. I refuse to believe that, in case they were assured that Tencent wouldn't cause any changes, they didn't knew it was a straight up lie.

I'm just regretting having spent money on this game one day before this news were published.
I am a bit on the fence about this, first i am happy for GGG BUT, to say things will not change well it sort of bull$h1t right.

A simple example, Blizzard partner with Activision hmm anyone noticed its called Activision blizzard now and not blizzard Activision Yes its a subsection but have a look at the battlenet launcher wait..Blizzard launcher Nono battlenet launcher, Well they cant make up there mind and this would never happen if they did not partner with Activision.

It might be a dumb example but some ppl will get it.
Well, they wouldn't be the first company to make a mistake due to intercultural differences...
