If you add explicit synergy between specific generic skills and specific mechanics which aren't related to that skills in any way, you'll actually reduce diversity of builds.

Depends on how they go about it. if it has the same values as before + the damage against bleeding enemies then its all in the mind of players. If it however has their base values nerfed and then added the new mod to balance things THEN its bad.

I like the sound of it, now we can use the vaal gems in those big boss battles but I hope it does not mean we loss the ability to store the souls before a boss battle. meaning we have to first face the boss before we can use the skill.

Interesting, can't wait to try it out.

it would be awesome if the vaal gem would cast the regular skill when the vaal version is still charging.

You are correct, presumably from the lvl21 skill gem card you can then get a 1 in a million shot at also getting 20% quality randomly and then an extreme case of it happening to also be a vaal skill.

I was wrong and you were right.


However there is 1 for sale in the entire game and its groundslam, so essentially in practical terms they dont exist so any problems ppl have relating to 21/20 gems remain as if it were impossible to get them as theyre probably over 100 times rarer than a mirror and then that is multiplied by the amount of different potential vaal skills, leaving ur chance of getting the specific one u want probably about 10,000 times rarer than finding a mirror.
