Please! Don't just add more damage to bleeding enemies to Double Strike! Change it in any other way. Give it 10% chance to summon a clone and rename it if you have to. Don't just add another situational multyplier and say "DONE!".

This is an excellent change that make them now useful to long boss fight. Looking forward to use more vaal skills.

They are showing a dmg over time effect as bleed some love..like they just did to ignite..look at the bigger picture fellow Exile :D

Vaal Skills now prevent gaining Vaal souls for a short duration when used. This change was made so that we no longer need to balance Vaal skills around their ability to generate their soul cost back again when killing many enemies. This was one of the few things that WAS good about Vaal skills. If this is the tradeoff, I can't say I'm a fan. With this and the shared skill cooldown, it sounds like we'll need several, different skills all linked up just to chain together decent clear speed to make it anything more than novelty, except on the builds that will also utilize the same non-Vaal skills. I dislike this for the same reason I dislike Overflowing Chalice.


Edit: Actually, that second quote is worse than I thought. You said it prevents gaining ANY Vaal souls for a short duration when used. Yeah, that is straight up awful. Way to ruin the rest of an otherwise good post.


Agree. Why GGG is always nerfing to the groumd good farming strategies and everyone is happy like an enslaved zombie? :D

Love these changes theres a whole bunch of skills i'd like to use now and can really see myself using the vaal versions beyond just leveling.

This is a good idea with the new vaal gems mechanic.
I guess there will be a lot more use of these gems within next league.
How about a name for next league like: No vaal, no ball league!

Some questions
let´s say I use a vaal skill instead of the normal version in a more linked item and the normal version can use multistrike while vaal may not, will the support gems support the normal version while no supporting the vaal variant?
Vaal skiils can not work with cwdt, but can I use the vaal gem manually and still have the trigger for cwdt with normal version?

we will now have a lot of support gems to the vaal effect, we know about multistrike, but will there be more support gems that will not work with vaal skill?

Now a dumb question - if we can use the vaal gems to have the normal skill too, why not taking away all vaal gems and each skill that has a vaal version could easily give also vaal skill?

When will I get my vaal spectre?
Very cool, one question tho, multi, echo and cascade don't work, but the skill grants both te vaal and normal version, will theese work on normal version?
