Item Splitting Beastcrafting Recipe Disabled

I play SSF most of the time, therefore, I'm not impacted by fluctuation in economy. Yet, it feels wrong if GGG let fly clear bug abuse.
I dont think there need to be an action against duplicated items that were fair game, eg. six-links, opal rings and other expensive bases. However, items that should not have been possible to duplicate such as Elder items or Lab enchants need to be removed from the game.
Am I the only one who isn't butthurt about this? The rich were already going to get richer, this just accelerated the process a little. Who really cares?
Yeah, but they're sorta required to say that.

"Path of Exile’s economy is the most important element of the game to us."

ggg

Yup, good find.

Specifically from 2011: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/55102/

And the seemingly hypocritical situation is Chris disabling the split item recipe and not doing a rollback, even though the economy was impacted rather hard as a result.

I've learned from Bestiary (and over the years with PoE) the following:

  • GGG will never rollback servers after unintended riches churned thanks to updates, no matter how F-ed up a league's economy is as a result of their oversight and lack of proper QA. I'm not claiming this is good or bad, just that it's completely the opposite of what Chris expressed in 2011.

  • Therefore exploit first, exploit often. Remember ghostbusting? It was viable for a long, long time, until GGG removed it. All of those in-the-know abused the crap out of it before it was common knowledge and disabled by GGG.

  • Only your own values and morality prevent you from scamming the shit out of everyone else. I understand the purpose of the name-and-shame policy, but in the end the scammers never really get punished and Chris even defends their tactics.

Even though this is out of context, these are still words from Chris involving trading...

When they fked up with leaguestones I was like "Meh, that's just something around free 30% more loot multiplier for abusers. And you they still need to run maps. I can live with that"

But the current fk up is even worse: the abusers doubled/trippled/quadruppled their gains with as little effort as farming the beasts for the recipe (like 20 mins of farming for 10 ex output from duping an extremely rare unid unique or enchant).

And now GGG are "fixing the bug" which means that the duped items will preserver their cost AND that the players, who didn't abuse that will have no chance to profit from the recipe.

GGG is basically saying to an average player "don't worry, some plaeyers got richer, but this will have almost no impact on you - you will still buy expensive stuff for the same price"
Since when you could dupe uniques? Only rare items could be splitted in two.

Hmm... I indeed have no video to proove my point, yet I've heard that unindentified uniques were also prone to duping through this recipe. So, this could be just rumors.
