Cool something else to sell bring on the dead nets. Change it from nets though...should be a garbage bag.

This whole net debacle could have been avoided if they implemented some sort of name lock/target lock by key-press on cursor focus instead of a physical trap mechanic. Instead of a bear trap stun, it could simply have been a decaying timer that allowed players to 'weaken' their target prey within the time limit or the net 'breaks' and you need to name lock again.

I'm glad GGG chose to ask players for feedback and I definitely feel this vote was a good way to do it. I STRONGLY DISAGREE with those who claim it's better for them to 'have a strong vision of their own', etc. and so not put it up for a vote. HOWEVER, this poll should REALLY have been put up at least 5 days after the league launch, not on the second day. And it should've been up for at least 3 days. The number of people now mentioning that they missed out on the vote is testament to the importance of the latter. The rapid fixes to the capture mechanic right after league start is testament to the importance of the former. And the sheer closeness of the vote even in these regrettable circumstances suggests that the answer here was not a painfully obvious/almost universally agreed one.

I'd encourage GGG to embrace this democratic approach more in other such cases in the future, but not in such a poorly executed i.e. rushed fashion. Democracy needs time to work, so give it that. :)

I was on the same page with the vote being a good thing. However, a series of missteps has put them in a tough position. They now have to honor the choices made by the community, as well as honor things said in this post, or there could be even more back lash.

I want them to consider the large no-vote when deciding on the rarity, however if they do so, they will have again changed what they said they were going to do.

They are now in a lose-lose situation, they are going to piss more people off if they make yet another change to announced decisions, and people are already upset by these changes. They can make one group happier, but only at the expense of making another group unhappy.

I love the league mechanics, however I honestly feel a bit scammed with my supporter pack purchase at this point. The handling of this whole thing has put a really bad taste on my mouth.

I wouldn't have been happy if the "Yes but more common" vote won, but if the majority of the community wants it, I can/have to live with it.

I wasn't happy that the "Yes, but more rare" middle ground won, I can accept it though, it won fair and square.

However, GGG then took it a step further and kinda made a decision to also let the "yes but more common" voters win a little bit by considering their votes towards their decision on rarity, while furthering the feeling of loss by no voters.

They originally said the "Yes, but more rare would" be the defaulted decision if no category reached 50%, but they changed it to be "the Yes but more rare, and a relative adjustment based upon the yes but more common vote count"

It was at that point I felt scammed by the whole process.

I don't post this to generate ire or ill will towards GGG, nor am I suggesting other players do the same as I have.
However, I feel like it is important for GGG and the community at large to understand how these kinds of little things can hurt the player bases feelings about the game, the company, and the community as a whole.

I've generally accepted that Path of Exile will never be developed in the direction I want. I want a harder, slower game where tactical decisions during mapping play a role in how you move through maps and crush your enemies.
Speed Meta is the only way to play Path of Exile, that has been true for a long time, and was really created by the removal of Reflect Packs, which now I'm beginning to miss, as horribly evil as they were.

This is kind of ridiculous.

I understand that 52% of the community wants dead nets. That's fine. We get dead nets.

I don't understand how 74% of the community that would want rare nets doesn't get represented. If you told that 48% that voted no, that they were going to get nets regardless, almost every single one of them would have voted "Yes, but more rare"

There is nothing "conclusive" about this poll, and there was nothing significant about the people who want common nets.

Also, go look at how Jagex polls it's community. If there isn't a clear majority they put it in "Not right now, maybe in the future" bin and look for alternatives.

After you guys suggested more net changes in the last few days a large number of people would have changed their vote. I don't want dead nets. I understand there is a portion of the community who plays traps/mines/minions/totems and they're getting dicked. I don't think dead nets are the solution. I think there is a problem. I don't think dead nets fix this problem. I didn't get that option in this poll. I would have got this option if there was a "I think you need to find another solution" option.

This poll should have been 3 clear options "No, to dead nets.", "Yes, to dead nets", "Neither, I want a different solution to be presented." and if neither Yes, or No received 65% of the vote it means they community wants a different solution, or something different all together.

This entire poll was arbitrary and now 74% of the community is going to get what it didn't want.

Better yet, give us multiple questions next time.

"Do you want nets that capture or revive dead creatures? Yes/No"
~52% would have said yes.

"If you get dead nets how rare should they be? Rare/Common"
~74% would have said rare.

"Do you think dead nets fix the problem with people being unable to capture beasts? Yes/No"
I have no idea, but I bet you it would have been the majority of players.

But they "take into account the "more common". So "more common" kinda won with 25% instead of the 50% required.

Not true. GGG said that they will look into statistic to make final desigion. They don't said that nets will be common. It's kinda like nets will drop with 5% chance instead of 3% if 'more common' options was an absolute winner.

Anyway, we will se this in the future.

Except this line right here is a thing:

We will take into account the significant votes towards "more common" when deciding the final rarity.
does this enable selling your roadkills?

invite and everybody can throw his net over the dead things? or is just one player getting the beast after ressurecting it?

age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
Tried making BOTW so many times the last few seasons. But failed every time. I have some other crazy ideas but not sure if I should keep trying.

Can someone tell me where I need to improve? Are shaper kills a requirement?

I would like to submit my Melee Ice Crash Burn Proliferation cameria's avarice + dyadus dual wield elementalist from this league - TinyAngryCrab. I wanted to make a character who used the new shaper of desolation along with attempting to use melee burns as a source of damage (rather than spell burns, where the base damage is enormous and thus less interesting to work with).

PC is busted so can't record right now, but I have footage of a similar version of it using cleave from last league - the new version uses elemental equilibrium and has much better clear thanks to burns proliferating off cameria projectiles.

It's got dyadian dawn! it's got emberwake! It's got terrible defenses and not particularly good clear! PERFECT BUILD

I was going to make a long video about the experience of trying to make a character that specifically uses burns while also using other ailments (in particular how incredibly bad the interaction between the various ailment supports and the intended use of those ailments) but that shall have to wait for a new PC. It's still a jolly build. The ideal gear would be a kaom's heart, the taming, an anima stone for a 3rd golem, perfect abyssal jewels, a horror crafted burn damage + conc effect elder helm....
