Scorching Ray is triggering crashes

This is unplayable. It's crashing every few minutes. My client is crashing at random times when I'm trying to use Scorching Ray. Even my friend's client crashed when he was near me when I was using Scorching Ray. The server remains intact (I can re-enter the same map) so the crash is only on the client side. This makes Scorching Ray impossible to use.

Using latest client on Beastiary league. Just crashed 3 times in the past 30 minutes.

I'm playing PoE for nearly 5 years and never had so many crashes as in Bestiary league trying to use Scorching Ray.

Crashes vary in time they happen, game can crash on first use of Scorching Ray but I can also go 10 minutes playing normaly.

It would be great if GGG can share some time window to apply the fix to help us decide whether to start new character or wait for the fix.

In an attempt to isolate the issue, I've disabled post-processing. It hasn't crashed in the past 15 minutes while I've been running with post-processing disabled. I will report here if it crashes again.

Same here. Multiple crashes using Scorching ray skill gem. In my opinion crashes connected to specific areas/mobs. Experienced 100% crash ratio in the Torched courts (Act 5) for example. Just attacked first pack with templars and crash. Some areas causes no crashes at all. Need fix ASAP. My build heavily relies on Scorching ray.

Bump. Any timeline? Kind of impossible to level my SR Guardian when that's literally the only skill I actively attack with. Sad times.

GGG never gives a timeline. As this forum has shown time and time again, the shit storm if they miss a time is a hundred times worse, so they say nothing at all other than "soon".


It'll get fixed when it gets fixed and you see it in the patch notes as such, show some patience.
