Oni-Goroshi in Current League - are You gonna farm it or drop it?

Finally... 5 played hours with each of my 3 toons, at level 8.5. Took me the whole damn weekend to find it. Best part? I don't even need it. And yet... Journey before Destination. I started the whole "get a Oni" because: 1- It's almost 5 years I am in there and I could get one at least in a Remove-Only tab 2- Could help having a levelling weapon, for once 3- Wanted to avoid most of the Heist's... um... manurestorm of Day1 and Day2 4- There is a slight chance I'll do a White Wind build, so I needed some exercise with the "five six seven eight I use this hand to [CENSORED]" mindset 5- A Strage Voice in my head told me "Why not break the mold of the usual rush to Endgame by doing something new and exciting?, and it persuaded me enough" Since I felt the whole thing NEEDED a base of masochism, I also did not go with 3 Scions. Rather, I went Ranger (my main), Scion and Shadow (random mules for Essences and Exalted Sets). Casually, Ranger and Shadow were sub-par optimal choices for Hillock farming. Did not do that on purpose The whole thing was resembling an IV Drop situations. Only you have to stay awake for the whole duration and the IV Sack may or may not be the size of a silos. It's tedious. It's inefficient. The time you take to get the sword is more than enough to get to Act7-10 depending on your speed. It's something only a botfarm could accept to do for profit. And yet... I had to take into account the drops. Yeah. I had to craft and gamble for a +x% incDamage Rusted Spike. I had to understand the 3% movSpd on a Corrugated Buckler is a trap since it just covers the malus it gives to MovSpd for wearing a shield. Most important I was happy to find a Rare item, and actually had to weight its modifiers. I had to identify my Rare drop because it could actually be an improvement for my current equipment. Was it worth the hassle? In terms of gaming, not really. A pinpoint purchase would have been faster and better than the other 6 uniques I've found during the Hillock farming. But for 2 days I felt like I was playing an actual Action RPG. You know, the ones where you grind a specific content for so much time actually enjoying your time while waiting for the big drop to come. True, it's still tainted by Path of Exile's grinding, it numbs your heart and makes your soul sour - so much you are not even that much happy when getting the very reason you started the whole thing. But it is the most close feeling of an ARPG you will ever get from this game. And for this, Charan, you have my thanks. ... ... no, of course I will not farm another one. If it is on the way for my mules to get to Lioneye, that's fine. There are bot-farms for those kind of things |

Congrats on getting an OG. Too bad RNGesus wasn't so kind and you only got 74% crit chance. Oh well, it can be re-rolled later. My days of grinding the beach are in the past and I've moved on from PoE:The Insanity Years to PoE:Rear View Mirror in my life. I've stopped actively playing after committing to getting OG #27 and check this off my PoE bucket list. I had to push through the grind numbness in Delirium League to get the last 3 of them (1 exile did have to go the full distance to level 9). I haven't logged in even once since then. Total burnout. But GGG makes it easy to not want to come back as I will never be a speed racer and will never go beyond level 91 ever so there is nothing calling to me to come back.
I fear PoE 2 will likely be a one and done league with playing the new 7 acts. Once I've done that and find the same old endgame grind I'll be done. There will likely be no Uber Hillock on the TSB but someone will need to be the Guinea Pig and grind till level 9 to confirm this. The ride was mostly good (we'd all like to forget PoE:The Desync Years) and some builds I tried were a blast to play. Alas, with nothing new for the endgame actively playing PoE is over. Great OG stories!. I have my one this league, but am going for two and have my three scions at 8.4 and slowly climbing at about .3% per run. The other two will go to standard where I have other runners ready to pick up the chase once again. I think I have two still in the have there now. If POE2 brings us a new TS challenge, I will have a posse at levels 7 and 8 ready to take up the challenge!

" Yeah but goal is to get OG not to maximise XP gained. More Hillock kills = more chances to get OG. Im taking a break from PoE. Just uninstalled. Probably will get back on PoE 2 but dunno. Enjoy all OG runners. |

I want to try to farm the sword from the fables but I need 2 bits of informations and first is hardcore league have a lower drop chance or spawn? and second can you tell me like how many hours i will need to farm in hours per char?

" The ABSOLUTE best way to get it is to farm TS. The div cards have one of the worst drop rates ever. There is no difference in the drop rate of the sword in HC vs SC. Be patient, some have gotten it at level 7 (my first one was like that) Most have to go to 8 and, god help us, Arrowneus has a level 9 club. ~ I have selective hearing, and today, you have not been selected.

" Doing this on HC is either super brave or extra insane?! I've farmed OG four times. I died only once on the last OG. If I had not been able to log back in and get the same instance with Uber Hillock I shudder to think what severe psychological damage might have been done. LOL Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!
