Announcing Path of Exile: Bestiary League

So many negative comments about this new league and I for one don't understand why for the following reasons:
1. you are not forced in any way shape or form to buy any of the packs
2. GGG, unlike Blizzard, has taken the time, and made the effort, to give us (the players, good and bad) new content every 3 months. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to do so. Granted they may make lots of money but at least they care and are willing to give us new content every quarter.
3. Not all leagues are going to please all. I think one should give it a try before condemning it, after all, in 3 months time a new league will likely be released.
4. I am not aware of any free game that provides players with constant updates and releases, least of all for free.

My post is simply to say thank you to GGG for at least giving us players new content every quarter. No other free game, or paid game for that, offers this.

I think one gets spoilt to get these leagues regularly. Imagine for one second we stop supporting GGG and developers leave? I think one should be thankful for what we have.

And no, I am not a pro nor do I spend 16 hours a day playing this game...but I do play it almost every day after work. Its my way of having fun, relax and unwinding and I for one, will enjoy the new league regardless.

Thats my 2 cents worth of opinion.

FOR REAL THOUGH will Facebreaker be changed to compensate for the addition of Spectral Shield Throw, or does the stipulation of "Offhand Damage" imply that it will not be affected by modifiers to unarmed damage?

The way it is worded makes sure it is used for its intended purpose.
Making builds more about thinking, less about i get this for free so w/e..

Making the Proc use your own Damage is
A) more balanced.
B) Intended to aid non totem builds
C) Is intended to make you Think what must i sacrifice to get this in my build.

My question was to clarify the intended purpose/how the mechanic triggers.

If you look at my profile, you will see that I play Chieftain with flame totems a lot. It's my favorite way to play and I've built it in a number of different ways. I play almost exclusively in hardcore leagues, so I tend to delete most of them after I die. If you could see all of those that died, you would see that I probably play Chieftain with flame totems 80%+ of the time I play. You will also notice that I am pretty strapped for gem links, regardless of which way I build it - I am even using two unset rings (one being Essence Worm). I do use a self-cast orb of storms to trigger Elemental Overload (for non-crit version) or power charges (crit version), but relying on orb of storms for triggering the 'cover in ash' debuff, with only a 10% chance on hit to trigger, seems like it will be a bit rough to keep up. Maybe it won't be. However, unlike Elemental Overload and power charges, the benefit of 'cover in ash' does not travel with you from pack to pack or from monster to monster, as it is applied as a debuff to a specific enemy, not as a buff to you that has a duration. If 'cover in ash' can be applied by totem hits, then this will be a fine addition. If 'covered in ash' cannot applied by totem hits, it can still be utilized in totem builds like mine, but I think a significantly increased proc rate should be implemented in order to compensate and make it easier to manage (to make it reliable). Multiple procs of 'covered in ash' do not stack and applying it additional times to the same target yields no added benefit, so there is no windfall advantage to have it reliably trigger.

Additionally, you will also notice that this (cover in ash) is the only portion of the entire Chieftain rebalance that affects my flame totem builds, aside from the gain of 10% increased strength. The strength bonus is a rather minor impact, as it will not be enough to make me want to use Iron Will as a link or Repentance gloves over Winds of Change. Therefore, I am quite interested in how the 'cover in ash' mechanic will work and whether it will actually have any real, reliable impact on my builds.

With that in mind, I'll ask again:
@Bex, would you please clarify whether the new Hinekora, Death's Fury '10% chance to cover rare or unique enemies in ash for 10 seconds when you hit them' can trigger when totems hit?

I just cant sacrifice animals i have captured,which is the core league mechanic unfortunately , just personnel preference
