Announcing Path of Exile: Bestiary League
Does this mean we can catch fish now?

" The fact that a fishing mod would make more money than spandex-pants armor sets is lost on no-one apart from the dev team. No, really. |

on second thought, from what I've seen in the video I'll just ignore the new pokemon mechanics and clear maps as usual and if I need items I'll just get them by trading. I'm curious to see at the end of the bestiary league if they are going to show the stats so we can all see how many people actually played these garbage mechanics.

POKEMON LEAGUE POGCHAMP
Seriously though loving the monster petting zoo idea. Also having some monster lore to collect is a really nice thing and will make the game feel more fleshed out in general. Can't wait to build my farm! Also anxiously awaiting more ascendancy news. Please don't kill necromancer. Please I beg uwu Last edited by Eskarina_ on Feb 15, 2018, 6:40:32 PM

GGG release some much content every season, the game has insane variation potential on a single build and people are still crying over the game content...
I rarely get over 24 challenges because I spend my leagues theorycrafting and making new builds, failing most of the time and learning from the mistakes I make...I mean...aren't you hyped for all the changes and new features implemented? Last edited by Phase36 on Feb 15, 2018, 6:41:09 PM

" I can't agree more with this. I just started playing POE at the beginning of abyss league and I LOVE the game. I've already spent $260 and was planning on spending more in the next league...until this league was announced. My first character was a golemancer and I had a very hard time completing vorici missions but I figured it was no big deal because there didn't seem to be any more like it. I was planning on making another golemancer again for this new league but that looks absolutely pointless now. I'm not saying I will quit the game, but this definitely gives me pause. It just boggles my mind that a league would be made that makes it impossible for minion builds to take part. It would be mind numbing to even TRY to attempt to play a minion build and trap all of these beasts. |

League looks fun already! The non-league stuff has a ton of stuff to find, try, explore. Here's to hoping that some forgotten ascendancies finally get some interesting mechanics to play with (Rage for Berserker is pretty interesting).
The league however... not sure what to think. If done well, could be fun, but it already looks grindy and tedious for little reward. Basically Pokemon for PoE. Hoping the higher tier rewards are worth the time, because the low tier rewards are horrific (no one's got the time to craft skill gems from beasts when you can just... buy them for an alch or less, unless they come with really high quality/levels). Of course, haven't gotten to try it out yet, so can't say anything else about it.
my hype level is about 10% of abyss hype when that league was announced. more fated uniques? prophecies are almost all completely terrible and instead of re-working that, we get more of the same. the copy/paste mentality of "here are 4 guardians" is getting old too. now we get four spirit beasts - probably in the usual flavors.
the whole beast collecting looks incredibly boring to me and who wants to level yet another master? i dont mind the grind once per league, but i don't particularly enjoy master missions (assuming he uses similar mechanics as existing masters). ascendancy nerf? glad i was able to play a wander before the nerf hammer comes down on them next patch. at least uber elder sounds interesting since even red elder is trivial for an endgame build. i was looking forward to some improvements of the elder storyline and this looks promising. surely, i need more info so i'll wait and see what you come up with in the next two weeks.
Sounds cool! I like the monster hunter capture thing, although I wish stuff like this was just part of the 3.2 content update and not tied to a temp league.

" Before anyone laughs too hard at this, consider titles like Berzerk, Overlord, or Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash... or even the old Spawn series. Nameless_One has some reasonable concerns; I will attempt to speak to some of them... " I understand this. One possible implementation of a gentler curve is to have his appearance guaranteed early in Act One. Much like Navali, you find him once and he takes up residence in town... the difference is that while in town he offers those capture missions as dailies. " I agree that this would be an interesting addition to the recipe roster. White Knight of the Order of Mihoshi Enthusiasts
