[3.1] Oni-Goroshi One Punch 100% fire conversion
I know it might be a pain if you spam whirling blades and there are no mobs in between, then you can get out of mana and need to wait for regen. The only advise is to remove leap slam and put blood magic gem instead, so you end up with 4L Blood Magic - Faster Attacks - Whirling Blades - Fortify. Leap slam can be put in the chest instead of Increased Duration, since we anyway use leap slam occasionally, to jump over the hill and any obstacle etc.
BTW I'm more than happy, that you had so much fun with the build, I had as well, one punch approach with IB was always one of my favourite things in the game and now we could also obliterate bosses with MS. |

Hey, really nice build bro.
I want to switch from my Ngahamu's MS/ Cyclone in the next days to this one, but got a few questions, for which i didn't find the answer in comments. 1. Why exactly do you prefer stacking phys over flat fire damage? The increased phys. damage (with swords) nodes won't apply if you stack added fire same as the extra fire damage from "Herald of Ash", and "Added Fire damage" (later on that) right ? Won't you get more damage out, taking Opal Rings with Added Fire Damage instead of Steel Rings and scaling fire damage/ele. damage? (problem would be the needed crit i suppose) 2. Problem with "Damage on Full Life" is that you won't be on full life most of the time! Won't it be better/more consistent to take the "Added Fire Damage"(44% physical as extra fire) or "Physical Projectile Attack Damage" (49% More Projectile damage, which seems like an even better choice)? How about "Immolate" in this case, since it gives you an insane amount of added fire damage when you ignite an enemy - which you should be doing the whole time on bosses. Though "Fire Pen." seems like the best choice for 6th slot since it would count like "Enemy takes 38% More Damage" on lvl 21 which will stack with "Flammability" for an even more insane amount (thats what Righteous Fire builds abuse, for example) 3. What is your thought on "The Taming" ? 4. What do you think about trying to fit in "The Arsonist" and "Forces of Nature" Node or even going to Elementalist (20% Life, 12% allres, 62% (78% with 2 more points) increased ele damage) for 12 points? 5. Do you feel more life leech would be usefull (by taking Hematophagy Node for example) ? 6. What stats would be best on Abyssal Jewels: Flat Phys (seems quit low though)/ Fire damage / Area Damage or even some of the other affixes? 7. What about Vaal Lightning Trap or Vaal Haste ? Is it worth it ? 8. How about fitting in an "Ancestral Warchief/Protector" into the 6L-Chest ? Even more reliable single target damage and a nice boost and distraction for some tanky rares or difficult situations. Last edited by Spezializd#0058 on Jan 4, 2018, 9:17:07 PM

@Spezializd
1. Because we convert 100% of physical damage to fire damage, as simple as that, it's in the title as well ;) We got almost 300% increased physical damage from passive tree, that should speak for itself, then we convert. 2. It is not a problem, we're almost always at full life. That's the advantage of Slayer ascendancy, your leech does not stop at full life. 3. You can give it a try, I didn't because we blow up the whole screen with IB, means you can't have multiple enemies ignited. 4. Waste of passive points, we got better choices (sword nodes). 5. You can go for Hematophagy. IMHO it's not worth, if you would play pure physical then yes or you don't want to take VP. 6. I already said that few times, double flat physical (generic and sword), flat fire sword. However it's worth testing 'old' jewels (not abyss one) to stack crit multiplier instead, still abyss jewel I think should be at the same level, since we only have 2 sockets for rare jewels. 7. VLT is total waste imho and I don't prefer Vaal Haste on characters that do not take increased duration in passive tree, since nerf to VH. That is only my personal opinion. I prefer to stack IAS instead for movement skills. 8. Already said that as well, AW is a waste, you're not able to convert 100% of pdmg to fire dmg. What's more it's better to have AP instead, to get more attack speed (it's a multiplier) for MS on single target. For that purpose you need only one socket and 6L can be utilized either purely defensive or for IB & MS setup instead of having 2nd sword. Last edited by ojejku#1220 on Jan 5, 2018, 5:33:41 AM

Great build, thinking of modeling mine after yours, after grinding hours for acquiring two OGs. I went ahead and helped Alira for bandits. Do you think that’s ok or should I swap to 2 passive points?

Two passive points are too good to pass them by.

hi i would like to suggest not to use damage on full life until you get endless hunger because it might cause some confusion for beginners. instead on leveling i used melee physical for molten and added fire damage for infernal blow (welp whatever you like to put there)

Hi guys, I’m running the bf version of this build but I’m finding I get killed a lot in red maps. I have 6k+ hp and almost 3k leech. Am I missing something or do I just have to be more careful? Are you guys finding the same thing at all?

ps: i hope there is a budget version of this specially the jewel and the amulet |

Would using your gear and tree but clearing with Molten Strike still work to end game?? Also should I still take Impact??
|

Based on my experience till now, molten strike clear is actually better than infernal blow. Impact obviously affect only melee hit in terms of splash for molten strike, but even just melee hit is only just slightly worse than IB, whereas magma balls work much better with finishing off some mobs you left behind. Speaking of taking Impact, your alernative is to take headsman, but it's not really a good choice since because of our fire conversion we dont care about phys reflect, so what is left is conditional 20% more damage and 15% area (hard to sustain "on kill" vs bosses) against non-stop 20% area.
My other point I want to make tho is that as, unfortunately, in many other builds, PoB is just absolutely out of reality. I want to show just some few examples: 1) In the MS setup, instead of multistrike (which in raw numbers is % less dmg) there is ele focus (gem never even mentioned in build, which is even ridicolous since we wouldnt even be able to ignite enemies for her embrace buff??) 2) Even tho the character level is set as 94, the points required to allocate all passives are available only at level 100 3) Jewels used are basically nonexistent quad max t1's of best mods 4) If I was a mirror, I'd be shy when facing such steel rings which are used there Having said that, I feel like this build is good enough to run all hard content, so I dont understand why not just put your real setup in pob with the gear and gems which are used. |
