HC viable? for farming wise only, not end game bossing.

@Fellfrosch09
I Imported your current character to PoB and this is your molten strike dps per ball:
~150k (take a look at Total DPS not average or tooltip) not bad considering your gear, current lvl and tree. I would drop that Heart of Oak near Ranger area and go to Marauder that also has strength there that should boost your life and Molten Strike ball even better only if you take Iron Grip, you didn't take it why? Additionally, If you use Flammability instead of Punishment as I suggested in my guide you will have ~190k. I would also drop additional Melee Critical Strike Multiplier near Disemboweling since it only boosts your Melee hit not the Molten Strike ball. Overall, I see you're following Mathil guide rather than mine?
Eventually, you also want to have near 100% fire conversion (that's all about my guide) either by Watcher's Eye jewel or Xoph's Blood amulet (end game, it's good to have something worth to hunt :), just to have some end game goal gearwise). Then you only scale physical damage (no other like fire etc) to make sure to maximize your dps. I got flat physical damage on my rings, that adds a lot. Same thing on jewels. Remember to not use 'Critical Strike Multiplier' that is tagged with 'Melee' prefix, because it will only affect melee hit, not projectiles (ms balls).

Honestly, I'm not playing HC in PoE, that is another story for sort of academic discussion, why I don't understand people playing HC in hack and slash ;) Having that said I still respect other people doing that (not the ones using logout macro ... :P).
However, If I were to play HC, I would probably not use a build that relies on degen, since you put yourself always at risk, no matter what, and this is the downside of OG sword and Her Embrace. Of course, that does not mean it's not playable, I didn't die since lvl 90 up to lvl 95 (as far as I remember), and if I died it was my mistake by not having a flask, opening a strongbox that freezed me and that sort of things. I've never died because of degen.

Hey I assume the priority list for rings/amulet/jewels are as follows, flat phys > crit multi > elemental damage to attacks? What about Attack speed, crit chance and flat fire?
I’m also intending to get yriel fostering for chest and rare helm instead of starkonja

Yes, you're right regarding jewellery, I did simulate that in PoB, I mean the first three you mentioned + flat fire dmg (that should be considered as last one). I didn't bother with attack speed and crit chance. The last one shouldn't be worth at all unless we can stack lots of crit multiplier, which won't be the case I guess with our limited jewels slots in passive tree (2), end game amulet is xoph's blood anyway. That means we can only stack crit multiplier in these two jewels, you can have triple multiplier roll on them (won't be easy to get anyway). Overall this is something that needs to be simulated in PoB, to double make sure what is the optimal setup (min-max).
Yriel with movement speed minion make sense, life, crit chance for our magma balls, accuracy. In general we can use any chest since we only need 2 swords ;). There's one downside, I played last league with that Yriel chest setup on my MF Windripper Scion and I had to resummon this stupid minion so often, simply because it was rushing enemies and dying often (probably because of low life pool it has). However, it may be not an issue with this character since whole screen just blows up. A second note would be we will go evasion rather than armour, unless we decide to take Iron Reflexes as well with that setup. Rare helmet is a good choice, in general I would take whatever helmet I got only if it has +3 additional Molten Strike projectiles, that will increase dps tremendously. It won't be cheap, they're super expensive this league.

Thank You and yeah I've heard the " annoyance " with yriel fostering and knowing me I probably won't even resummon the minion. If i'm not wrong according to pob, I lose about 7% phys reduction by not getting an armour base chest but since I won't be going starkonja I guess I can make up for it by getting armour on my head?

sry if this is a dumb question but does melee crit chance/multi effect the molten strike balls? i'm assuming it does since you took it on the tree but just want to make sure
edit: also is fury bolts worth it to take?

It doesn’t =( since the magma balls doesn’t have a melee tag nor does it increase the damage in pob but I might be wrong(I’m not op)

I've started a build similar to this and Rotgut with blood rage is insane. I use an overflowing chalice to keep it up but may not need it later.

Hey man thanks for the build! If you go for a moment for the budget alternative with the watchers eye, what kind of amulet would you recommend/ what are the best stats to go for?
Have a great start into the new year!
