Inquisitor is better on a high budget, so if you're already playing one and you affoard the jewel. Great!

I haven't played around much with Inquisitor, but this is what I came up with. Tree is pretty rough, there's probably a ton of small efficiency things that can be done to improve it but this is what I came up with:

7700 Life but higher damage than the Berserker. Can be re-worked a little bit to grab Scion Life Square/Wheel/Pizza slice for more life.
Thank you for the response! I've got something close, although I went down to the life wheel and use 4x poet's for a swap to cascade and frostbolt for clear. Would need to change that, but might be good to just focus on fire damage. Also using belly instead of Kaoms because i like links. It's fun - look forward to exploring it more and will continue to follow the thread :).

I'm currently lvling a ele wander. With a budget of around 2ex would this build get me futher in the end game if I reroll? Pros and cons b/t these two builds late game with lowish currency?

Volatile Dead is easier and cheaper to get off the ground, you only need 2 Poet's Pen and you can level with Unearth + Volatile Dead from level 12. No need for a 5L or 6L in the build, allowing us to invest that currency in to better gear, enchants and Acuities.
You will want just below 4 APS preferrably, aim for that at any level in order to maximize your triggers per second

You're going to want to stay under 4 unless you have CDR on belt or boots, which I would recommend getting.

At 3.98 it shouldn't be skipping. The way Volatile Dead/Unearth works is that on your first attack it's going to cast both at the same time, and unless corpses are present, means that Volatile Dead will skip. Starting on the 2nd attack and forward it shouldn't skip anymore at 3.98.
