Severe Fps Drops post 3.1

Guys, I was struggling much the same. It wasn't even so much my FPS would drop but just stuttering around whenever anything would change, abyss, person join my zone etc.

What I did that seems to have "fixed" my issue is turning off OneDrive sync for my Documents folder.

By default it was turned on my new PC which was syncing the Documents\Path of Exile folder and all the files it stores in there.

I turned off OneDrive and I'm running around stutter free.

As with anything, I don't think this is a fix for everyone but I knew my PC should be running this game much better than it was (1070, 7700HQ i7, 16GB Ram.) Give it a shot.

Don't have that installed, thanks for the suggestion though.

Closing OneDrive seems to helped fix the problems for me. Idle in hideout, I went from constant dips in FPS far below the 144 cap set to having a constant framerate of 144 as set to my monitor. Definitely worth a try.
Ongoing,

tried every suggestion in several posts both PoE & Reddit, nothing seemed to work so far.

Specs:
CPU: AMD A6-6400k
MBU: Asus F2a85-M le
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT 740
RAM: 16gb 1666MHz

rerolling nvidia drivers to 378.92 bugged out my game, i couldn't load into any character, it would just go black and then stop responding, wouldn't load at any moment, bringing it back to up-to-date drivers fixed that but fps issue still remained.
Prior to 3.1 my average fps would be around 60-70 (stable) with graphics on max, with current league no matter what settings there are (even 800x600 with runescape texture) fps dips to 0 too far often.
One more thing i've noticed, before my gpu utilization would bounce between 40-60% and increasing to 80-ish when large density of mobs, current utilization is 100% and not even ingame, in the menu it sits at 100%, other games run smoothly without any issue.

had a similar problem, as soon as I hit a group of monsters, my latency and fps went down the drain (beyond, shrines, offscreening etc. made it worse), in hideout my latency and fps were as good as before. tried every soultion/fix I stumbled upon on reddit/tech forum and nothing really helped. so I went ahead and installed an older version of windows 10 (version 1607, Build 14393.953), so pre creators update, also using an older nvidia driver, v. 378.92. this fixed my stutter and latency issue completly, perfomance is like pre 3.1 for me. if you have the possibility to rollback your windows 10 to an older version, you should give it a try, otherwise it´s kind of laborious to install an older version of windows 10 and update to a specific version, which isn´t the newest one available.
hope you guys also find a solution for your problem soon.
I had to completely remove my loot filter from my game folder and it works fine again. Just me though.

One month into the league, still can't get a stable frame rate, still complete radio silence.
specs:

Radeon RX 480 8gb
Intel i7-7700k 4,2ghz
16gb mem

also decided to quit PoE this expansion, getting drops from 144-20 fps on 64bit/dx11 - on dx9/ex its totally unplayable. I've searched and tried every fix possible out there, to no avail. Even tried going back to win 7. bought a freesync monitor, still nothing. Used to run absolutely fine.
Dear all,

I have solved my performance issues.

The first main problem is the following:
If you use STEAM, the Path of Exile.exe on your desktop is ALWAYS a 32bit exe.
You must always manuelly link the 64bit.exe from the steam game folder to the desktop.
Performance was drastically improved after starting the 64bit.exe.

Furthermore after working with the 64 bit.exe, you need to TURN ON Multithreading CPU in the game.
I think the multithreading option was buggy, if you play in 32BIT.
But with 64 bit.exe, it is a must have to turn it on.

Ohter small improvements:
Delete the files in the shader and map cache folders.

Perhaps it could help you guys.

Best regards,
Duke
