If the "official" elder and guardians has not spawned yet, but the influence is there. You can try to expand the area to higher tier maps, having the elder/guardians to spawn to a specific map of your liking will be tricky because it's a random event.

Does anyone have any idea how I'm supposed to spread the elder in my current atlas layout? Whenever I run (Shaper influenced) Spider Lair the Shaper influence shifts to Fields, whenever I run Fields the shaper goes back to Spider Lair. Just growing a tentacle by chaining maps to get to T10 (The tier I need to run to get my next memory fragment) doesn't seem to work either, the tentacle gets cut off a some point.

I would recommend to clear residence & field map first

Thanks for the tip, kind of worked a bit. But I even with that I couldn't get out of that corner, so I used a different strategy: Just clean up all the elder maps and hope for a better spawn next time (worked, got a few more memory fragments directly next to the new spawn).

so I follow every guideline here and I still lost my entire atlas of elder influence. I beat a shaper map and lost all elder creep instead of gaining an extra map of it. this crap is entirely random and has no pattern.

you can lose some maps(edges) by rng, but if you lose all your progress you did something wrong, on elder maps is mandatory that they are connected each other. shaper can have " separated"

What if I remove one of my maps with an Elder guardian, it will break all the influence?

Im asking this cuz I want to manage my atlas to drop only one map and there is an Elder guardian in a map that I need to remove.
