And this is a problem, why, exactly? It's a great marketing campaign that'll give PoE a lot more exposure that it has had in quite a while.

Hm I clocked in to streams about 30 hours ago without receiving a drop. Maybe I should start counting the power bill versus the cost of those hats and buy one instead? Then again I should have known what was coming. My first Exalt dropped more than 750 hours into the game after all...

It wouldnt have been that bad if it wasnt for BEX that said about the average. I think she gave false hope. The same with the black friday sale when Bex said items are reduced "up to 80%" but the only item that got reduced 80% was the Weta. It's a terrible marketing ploy that annoys people, well it annoys me. Tries to get people through door to sell them more expensive sale items and have one item at 80% off so it's not false advertising. Poor show GGG.

There are TWO possiblity's either the thing isnt working at all OR drop's are working but the message that you got something is broken.

Someone is lying about the drop rates.

i do agree completely...
ggg should have just told us that there is a slight chance of winning something
(if the chance is poor af dont even mention % or average time required to get that something)

this way u rekt our expectations

same with the discounts - nothing bad would have happened if u just told us
"BIG ASS DISCOUNTS ON SOME ITEMS"

ppl will indeed see some of the items are greatly reduced in price but wont expect 80% on each and every one of them

but then again i guess CHANCE and % in PoE are something mythical, like unicorns
cuz u know when u get the atlas on 126/126 it says "map drops AT LEAST 1 tier higher"
i mean its not MIGHT. COULD, MAY its at least
and as far as i know (even thogh english is not my native language) at least will in this case means
in the scenario from a lets say tier 10 u will get tier 11 (might as well get any lower tiers too but tier 11 is a must for u to drop - yet its not

just keep calm and decorate ur ho guys- thats the only fun thing :D

Yes, it's a great marketing if you only take consideration the benefits of it to GGG, the game & the streamers. But how about those existing players fell for it & got dissapointed for expecting something out of it. May I ask you, is this the only way can GGG get exposure to their games? Are there any other way where they can advertise PoE without playing with the emotion of some existing players?

Read the caption. That's why I'm addressing this to the players who still hoping & doing this, yet still felt disappointed after getting nothing. There's no issue if your doing this for the sake of watching streams & actually supporting PoE to top views. But, if your doing this for the sake of getting that hat, you can try for number of hours, but if you felt bad for doing it because you still get nothing, then stop doing it already or don't do it in the first place. Why you keep doing something that give you bad emotions, stop being masochist, it's not healthy. & it's bad for the community in the long run.
