War for the Atlas: Xbox One Timeline

Console needs to have its own news/announcement communications channel. It should be stickied at the top of the Xbox section. Content can be copied/pasted from PC thread as go-live occurs per timeline (or go ultra easy and link to PC drop article). Key points to communicate are when is content going live, and what content is (or is not) available. This can be done via forum moderation, and takes little effort. Articles can be locked here to push discussion to feedback thread

People requesting simultaneous content drops are missing a production management fundamental here. GGG will likely never sync up go-live dates between platforms Its due to the differing certification processes to drop content in production on differing servers. People need to understand this technical limitation; GGG responses so far imply this. I get GGG probably has their own managed, or more likely outsourced partner for PC, and having to work with MS for XB means GGG has a new dependency that influences content go-live. This should just be stated by GGG

Feedeback for GGG re: community management: set better expectations, plan xbox go-live sequence better using now-known dependencies, and stride for content parity.

I can deal with the games shortcomings beyond that, as long as there platform continues to evolve ;-)

I'm perfectly willing to understand there are technical complications that prevent this from being easy, but a fairly obvious solution is to have the content done well before the time the process needs and then pick a date that works past that. This is assuming they can pick their dates, even if they can't they can certainly pick when things happen in their own code.

They present on front page, twitter, reddit and I'm sure many other sites expectations that the game itself will be updated or changed, then in here after we beg them, they tell us no, it's different for us and wait for us to let you know more, by the way just ignore all the communications we're sending out for everybody else that don't say PC ONLY when the should. It confusing people. I saw Xbox messages yesterday where people were expecting the expansion to drop today for them too. It's not that hard to take extra steps to make this clear without someone having to ask the question. Just like when you call something FULL PATCH NOTES but it doesn't include Xbox or say PC only it creates easily avoidable confusion, in the name of marketing but at the cost of false expectations.

We still don't' have an actual release date and we're hours away from the main platform going live. That seem reasonable to anyone?

Having a hard time to dissagree with you.

I would far rather join the hype train with pc players, and live without the hotfixes for two weeks or so.
Hopefully thats how its gonna be in future.
I believe the problem is that all these massive changes are happening to PC and the xbox is stuck doing the same old stuff. There is this massive hype for the PC and yet there is an entire community not getting the same treatment.

Now, I love this game as much as anybody and I'm extremely excited for the new season. I don't say these things because I'm an ass but because I am within the community of people not getting the same treatment.

GGG is blowing this whole season to the sky and everybody is getting excited about it. Which is good!!! They should. They have worked on this for a long time and put a lot of effort into bringing an amazing addition to an amazing game. But, we of the xbox community can't get into the hype because we are not included. Then, when the Xbox finally DOES catch up, it's a change that is seemingly in passing. "Oh and after 2 weeks, here you go... I guess."

I know the PC community would be up in arms by this comment but GGG needs to plan both to hit at the same time. If the xbox is coming out on the 22nd, than so is the PC version. Not only that, but PC players (And I say this with the understanding that it's not ALL PC players) hate the xbox community. If anything is brought up about Xbox in a shared posting, that person gets torn to pieces and is belittled. That attitude has been around since the announcement of the Xbox version. And the problem is, it's going to remain that way. If the Xbox version got this expansion before PC, you know there would be TONS of PC players up in arms and claiming to quit the game.

Maybe I'm wrong and if so, I should shut up. But GGG, you have to see that we feel like 2nd class players here. Look at this beautiful website you just updated. And that beautiful clock that you have. That is SO close to 0s. We don't get to relate to this stuff because it's not happening to us. I know, I know. 2 weeks. Just be patient. And I know, I know. It's not all your fault. MS has a lot to do with it. I get it. But something has to be done. Or else the Xbox community will be lost from the sickness of always being 2nd class.

Thank you.
^^^ I’m totally cool with PC being beta for a cleaned up console release. lolin . .

Other games are like that.

Eh I really don't care about later release. However I am in the habit of looking at the website for news on the expansion and updates but you never include any information about the xbox version. I'm at work sometimes when I look this stuff up. It's ridiculous that any relatable info is buried within topics in the layered empty Xbox section.
how the fuck are you going to put the league on pc then aweek later on xbox that is fuckedd
It's quite simple for ggg to put them out at the same time by first finding out the date it can be released for xbox before annoucing a date on pc, then once they know they could then annouce the date for both and pc wouldnt know the difference or be affected by it. but now xbox player have to wait and watch on youtube as pc players rub it in. And dont tell me I could just plat pc because my hands wont allow it due to medical reasons. I put 600 into console still I feel like Im being slapped and not because of the delay because of the lack of communication from ggg.

chill, man
life goes on
I believe its time consuming to push through a patch on xbox and GGG wants to make sure most bugs are fixed that comes with every expansion release before they submit the first patch to xbox. Last league on PC there were patches every day basically and I imagine they want to avoid that on xbox. If you are a competitive player, you can play on PC but I think it worth waiting a week for smoother game experience.
