War for the Atlas: Xbox One Timeline
So I’m interpreting that for those of us who supported GGG supporter packs, and who further supported the game via additional purchases, are not going to get retroactive credit to go toward upgrading those supporter packs??!!
That is some cheap shit in my book if so. I tend to be cynical by nature so I’ll try to stay hopeful this is just me reading the new “upgrade support pack feature” incorrectly. Especially since at XB1 launch there was no communication this feature didn’t apply to XB1 players (which is an ongoing chronic communications issue today still, a-la ladders not being available being a recent example) I moved away from all Cryptic/PWE games because of their poor business practices and poor communication, and will do same with all GGG games if this is how they intend to do business XB1 gt - xXx G3TZUM xXx

Seeing as how communication to Xbox community has been a little lackluster (not to disregard Jeff, Chris, and others), I find it hard to complain about "this" or "that" because I haven't the faintest clue as to what GGG is planning to do with PoE on Xbox. Hopefully this long awaited update from Chris will help to answer questions but it's difficult to pass judgement or comment constructively when it's based on conjecture and speculation. That's just my 2 cents, coming from a longtime PC player who has moved to Xbox.
At first, I was disappointed that there wasn't a specific date for Abyss league for Xbox. Typically, it's bad business to not have a deadline, from a project management standpoint. But after more research into Microsoft certification, I find that "maybe a week after PC" to be more than acceptable. I would suggest that this cause for delay is stated upfront, to avoid any incorrect assumptions or confusion from new/console-only players. I'm glad that the community can help resolve these issues but ultimately, it is GGG's responsibility. That aside... Looking forward to your post, Chris! |

1 week turned to nearly 2.
That's the epitome of the problem for xbox. We feel our version is forgot about.
Has this date been discussed yet? The PC comes out really soon and I haven't seen much news about xbox yet.

" The date hasn't be set it stone yet. Unfortunately it's quite difficult to give a date well ahead of time for such an update given how the patching process works. I understand from a players perspective this can be frustrating, but as soon as I have a date I'll be sure to share it immediately. As for the questions from Chris, I'll have another chat with him today and see if he has a date in mind when he will be sharing them.
" Cool. Thank you Jeff. | |
I had a chat with Chris just now about the questions he mentioned in his original post, we will be posting the responses to these tomorrow during the work day.

I believe in that...
The biggest problem we have today is not knowing about the update of the new league, but whether this update will come as complete, or only part of the game, as we have today. We pay the same values as on the PC, but we do not have the same game. So, can we do together with GGG a list of missing items and get an update for each of those items? It will be a huge list. But no, the Xbox guys are ignored here on the forum when we talk about this, because they know we're paying full ... By half. I created 4 char in this league, all 90+, 1 I reset 3 times and create another char. Many hours, lost time in my conception. Understand, I love this game, I wish I could continue playing and contributing financially to GGG, but I feel ignored and misled. I stopped playing after the total lack of communication on your part. My friends have also stopped, and we will not be back until GGG respects us as paying customers (I buyed 3 support packs and others). Sorry my English, But I hope you can understand my utter disappointment. It's no good coming a new league in half. Play on X1X Last edited by JamP on Dec 6, 2017, 10:28:28 AM

" You are not alone, I'm close to breaking myself. Many similar reasons. It's not that I don't want to give them time to resolve, it's the communication that makes it so hard. If I don't stumble into the right thread to know something, if I don't stumble onto items on PC side I see are lacking on Xbox. When I see the effort put into the PC side. I mean they have reddit posts about QOL features that only impact PC, but present them as both. You start to get a complex, of being an afterthought, but paying the same price. It's frustrating. It starts to make you question if they care about the platform and if you should be supporting it. I agree a full list of issues, at least things missing on Xbox side, should have been a day 1 thing. Don't make us ask why things are missing. Bugs and stuff, those are going to be what they are, but missing features they require us to ask about, is not reasonable IMO. I look forward to Chris's post, but at this point it's going to have to be amazing or it will just feel like lip service, as we've already established what normal looks like for Xbox and that they'll get to us after they make sure the PC side is taken care of, if they have time. (That last part probably isn't true, they are probably working their ass off, but it looks that way when they only send Jeff to comment here and there AFTER we ask).
I feel that GGG is afraid of alienating the PC fanbase especially the Reddit elitists with paying too much attention to the console version. I put a lot of money into the PC version of this game and have already put some into the Xbox version. I even bought the One X just to maximize my PoE console experience. I’m hoping someone from GGG can comment on the current success (or lack there of) of the console version as well as commit to its long term development and support before I’d be willing to invest more time and money on it.
