You good folks are living in the Trump lie bubble instead of reality.

The special prosecutor was appointed specifically because of the concern of obstruction of justice by President Trump after the firing of James Comey. The Russian interference was already being investigated and did not require the OLC to be appointed to continue. The desire was to better insulate the investigation from potential further interference in the investigation.

Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani said Friday that the special counsel’s appointment was triggered by the firing of FBI Director James Comey.

The letter does not explain why it was written. You should be able to believe Rudy Giuliani.

600.4 Jurisdiction.
(a)Original jurisdiction. The jurisdiction of a Special Counsel shall be established by the Attorney General. The Special Counsel will be provided with a specific factual statement of the matter to be investigated. The jurisdiction of a Special Counsel shall also include the authority to investigate and prosecute federal crimes committed in the course of, and with intent to interfere with, the Special Counsel's investigation, such as perjury, obstruction of justice, destruction of evidence, and intimidation of witnesses; and to conduct appeals arising out of the matter being investigated and/or prosecuted.

(This is regarding coming up with reasoning to fire Comey)

Trump is a mobster essentially. And he actually is a former (perhaps current) money launderer

Wrong letter, that was the letter establishing Mueller.

I'll state it again.

Mueller was UNABLE to make a prosecutorial judgement for Obstruction because the OLC policy forbids it.
I'll state it again.

Then why did he investigate Trump?

I'm saying your argument is crap.

Here's the reality: Barr: Mueller could have decided on Obstruction.
He could have, and he didn't, and him riling up people about OLC is pure theater.
Consider this: the OLC policy regarding inability to indict a sitting President has been in place since 1979. Yet Ken Starr, OSC head when Clinton was President, had no problem directly accusing the sitting President at the time of crimes, and explicitly recommended impeachment. So if Starr did it without so much of a peep from Democrats about him breaking OLC policy (and Starr didn't break it, because he didn't recommend indictment), why did Mueller act as if his hands were tied?

Answer: Mueller's playing games with the process.

The best the anti-Trumpers can get is "well he thought about obstructing, and asked some people if he could obstruct, but it never actually happened".

Nobody cares.
The problem with that, pneuma, is that per 18 USC §1505, directing someone to obstruct is obstruction, regardless of whether that direction is followed. (There is still a burden to demonstrate the investigation was impeded, but the impediment can take any form, to include very indirect means of impediment.)

This is why I've been arguing that §1505 is a bad law. In practice, all you need is an investigator to testify the investigation was harmed, and the "how" can be pretty much anything. Trump's words would be enough to indict a normal, non-Presidential person on multiple counts.

While this is in accordance with Mueller's report, this is irrelevant. Rosenstein's memo includes quotes from many previous AGs and Deputy AGs, including many Democrats. There is abundant, non-corrupt and bipartisan rationale for the firing of James Comey — indeed, a majority of living former AGs at least partially agree with the decision.

The bottom line is Trump fired Comey because he thought he could kill 2 birds with one stone:

1) He thought he'd become a hero of Dems because Comey re-opened the Clinton case which helped Trump win.

2) He thought it would end the investigation into his encouraged foreign campaign assist by the Russian government.

Trump was wrong on both counts, because he's a moron.

Corrupt intent

1. Comey is disgraced and hated by both parties.

Why does Trump attack Americans who Putin hates?

Answer: Because Putin gives the orders.

Compromised.

I'm not much for memes, but this one is good because these are Trump's actual words:

Honk, honk.

No he attacks the DNC and media who are against democracy in all shapes and form. Doesn't help that every since 2016 they've gone after his family, friends and co workers because they had the gall to beat them in an free and fair election. It's the DNC and their media allies that attack Americans. Brett kavanaugh and the Covington kids are just a couple of the victims of how far the DNC and their media toadies are willing to go in their crusade against democracy, freedom and conservatives.

There's no Russian collusion Muller has proved that, time to accept reality.

Honk, honk.

Christine Blasey Ford is the victim. She's become a prisoner of her own house because of death threats and stalking by right wing weirdos all because she was brave enough to tell the truth about drunken rapist Kavanaugh.

How do all of you cult members feel about Mike Flynn? Today is the day!

Tbh no one cares about Flynn or Ford.

Kavanaugh is on the bench for life, Ford is a weirdo that got some cash, and Flynn will most likely do some time in a cushy white collar federal prison for being stupid.
