Labs should not be mandatory.
" No I won't be learning it or skipping it because skipping it severely handicaps my characters. I play summoner and totem builds. You can't skip ascendancy if you want a good build. I've stopped playing all together. I have too many other gaming options to deal with this aggravation. I shouldn't be forced to eat meat on my plate when I come to a vegetarian restaurant. I"m not asking them to remove it. I'm asking them to give us the OPTION to bypass it like they do with most other features in the game. If there is a boss that is too hard for our build, or we want to rush to the content we like, I can pay someone to kill Kitava for me. I shouldn't be forced to endure unnecessarily frustrating content when other content has a way to bypass it. I shouldn't be locked out of the chef's best vegetarian meals because I don't want to eat the meat. I should be able to say "I'm sure the meat is good to people that like meat, and I'm not asking you to remove the meat from the menu, but I'm a vegetarian and I came to eat vegetarian. Give the meat to others but I'll be sticking with your vegetarian menu, thank you." How it works now is like GGG telling me that the chef won't cook me any more vegetarian meals until I eat the meat he cooks. No. I'm a vegetarian. And if the chef is going to be that petty or negligent I'll go to a different restaurant. There are plenty of other who want my money. I play videogames to enjoy myself. I should have the option to bypass unenjoyable content. Especially when the option exists for certain content already. I probably wouldn't play POE ever if I couldn't party up and have someone help me take down hard bosses. Eventually I did the game solo, but having the option is the difference between enjoying myself and unnecessary frustration. |

" Made my day - thx dude :D 1. You can buy lab carries, so the option to bypass lab does exist 2. In a restaurant you pay for a service and therefore you are free to pick the menu you like the most 3. PoE is free and therefore you are in no position to ask or demand stuff. 4. You are not willing to adapt, which means death in Wraeclast 5. Make sure to close the door on your way out Cheers |

being a bit nitpicky :)
" Restaurants offers what's on the menu, PoE is a menu item. If you want something that is not on the menu, tough life. If I want a steak and restaurant tells me there is broccoli on the side as only option, i would just "give me the meat and keep the green stuff" (jk, i love broccoli :). Reminds me that lady who wanted fries in some fast food with tacos, calling racism because she could not get what she wanted :) I represent only myself, my own thought and believes. " 1. You still ahve to run through the traps in lab carries. If I could have them do the entire thing for me while I sit at the entrance, like Kitava, I wouldn't be complaining. 2. Yes that's how restaruants work. But in this case, the restaurant is restricting my access to the menu unless I eat a specific item on the menu first. That's why it's messed up. 3. Yet they want us to spend money, which I do. 4. No, I'm not willing to force myself through gampelay I don't enjoy. 5. I will and did. Last edited by ProfessorGanymede#4171 on Nov 9, 2017, 8:35:12 PM

" Again, false comparison because in this case they are telling me I can't be made broccoli until I buy steak. And I came to a resturant that specializes in vegetarian cooking. It's makes no sense that I should have to order the steak before they will make me a plate of broccoli. Last edited by ProfessorGanymede#4171 on Nov 9, 2017, 8:35:25 PM

" The way it works is that the labyrinth trials must be completed once per league for all characters. So if one is in hardcore or standard it means that the trials only be completed once even when new leagues are started. This means. The new leagues (both hardcore and softcore) will have to redo all the trials because it's a new league. Whereas in hardcore and standard the trials do not have to be redone. Actually, I think it would be a great improvement if deaths in hardcore labyrinth did not move the character to softcore. Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired! In order to unlock the full potential of your characters you need to go through trade. Trade for me is the most tedious, boring, annoying, momentum crushing experience I've had in videogames in a while. Even when I'm not in the lab and thus cannot trade, I have to leave the map, go through potential haggling, people that don't show up and other random crap, it is extremely annoying. It's destroyed my experience of the game. I've practiced getting better at pricing items and doing trades fast, but it doesn't make it any more fun. It is just a drag on an otherwise good game. It's like all the fun screeches to a halt as we are forced to endure this mandatory (in order to achieve full character power, boring, frustrating shit.
Remove Horticrafting station storage limit.

" And what common sense solutions would you suggest to fix this problem? Something that would in no way take away the experience of those who enjoy trading like the solution I proposed for my problem? |

" This change may tempt me to play again, but I just don't find doing labs fun at all. Even without dying (and again, I've never lost a character to traps), running a gauntlet of traps is a momentum killer. It's kind of like tv commercials. We understand why they are required but they kill the momentum of the show or movie you are watching. I'd like the ability to pay to not have tv commercials. " Great idea. I'd do only uber lab runs then while playing reckless and stupid. And laugh when friends who don't like the lab lose their precious chars in maps. |
